I do not need to present an evidence, u are aware of Magufuli's rants early last year about the milk industry in Tanzania being dominated by Kenyans, and that that situation had to be reset.

This year saw the intensification of the efforts by the Tanzanian govt to undermine the Kenyan milk firms there. And it is not just tge milk companies.

Tanzania seems resentful of the fact that several key sectors in that country are dominated by the Kenyan companies. There's a covert economic war against the Kenyan owned businesses there.

U r losing fairly my friend nothing sinister as even u urself settle for goods with quality n affordability. U better wake up as Kenyans from the lessons taught in business, stop thinking u own the EAC market. Man up n humble urselves n compete, below the belt tactics always backfire.

As Kenyans u should be thinking of engaging urselves on a business that u have a sustainable comparative advantage over Tanzania n not things like dairy n meat business. Kenya is doing your milk producers + all the other agricultural producers a favour btw, u shldnt be complaining or bragging that we need u that much. Without Kenya, the farmers there would suffer.

Just like the Lpg dispute today:

1) the Musoma milk ban was on grounds that it was not meeting the safety standards. And Kenya was demanding that the dairy farmers there improve on that.

2) there was already a glut in the Kenyan milk market that the processing companies couldnt accept anymore milk even from the Kenyan producers due to the oversupply. They did not wish a repeat of the 2010 scenario whereby the excess milk had to be poured in the drains ccos of the limited capacity to process it all, to the chagrin of the whole world!

See, even your own farmers acknowledge the importance of the Kenyan market, they had to protest in the streets in imploration to Kenya that it should accept their milk. There isnt a milk industry in Tanzania worth talking about....even with that much touted about Azam whom u say will snatch the Tanzanian and the entire regional market, (ati including Kenya) from the Kenyan domination.

If no. 2 applies in Kenya why not in Tanzania? Free market principles do not allow a closure of a market since there is saturation of goods of few monopolistic firms! Acquaint urself with what free market means.

U have always had more cows than Kenya, yet Kenya has over the years been producing more beef and milk than Tanzania!

Kenya is many miles ahead of Tz in this sector, toppling us from our current position will take years....till I turn 60 perhaps.

Those are just a few Kenyan companies facing some setbacks in Tanzania, but there are scores of other Kenyan companies and their subsidiaries that are doing just fine in Tanzania.
Remmember, Kenya is one of, in fact the third biggest investor in Tanzania, with investments worth more than 2bn$.
