Kenya declares war on Al Shabaab!

Here is a suggestion: let your military leaders to sit back and take notes. Treat this operation as a free lesson at a military academy. They don't have to pay to come to Karen for training.

For years we have been training Kenyan soldiers at our prestigious Monduli Academy see below:

Kikwete lays foundation for military library project

President Kikwete laid the foundation stone for the modern two-floor building to be constructed at the TMA base, shortly after he commissioned a total of 506 Under Officers of the intake 27 short at the Monduli-based military training facility over the weekend.

It was the second commissioning of the year 2011. Last January, President Jakaya Kikwete attended the graduation of 425 other officer cadets from Tanzania, Kenya, Uganda and Lesotho at the Tanzania Military Academy.

This is Tanzania's top military training institution where President Kikwete, after successfully completing a similar course, was commissioned as a lieutenant in 1976.

He also undertook Company Commander's Course in 1983 at the same academy. In his military career, he rose to the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel.

From 1984 to 1986, President Kikwete was Chief Political Instructor and Political Commissar at the Military Academy.

Before the establishment of TMA, Tanzania used to send its military personnel to be trained in Israel, India, Egypt, Sudan, Russia and in the United Kingdom but today the Monduli-based academy has grown to become one of the most respected and reliable military academy in the world, catering for officers from various countries and continents....

I am sorry to say you sound like a worthless crap!

kenya has no prejudice with regards to uniform but having command under UG, neva gonna happen. it was all in your eyes all along, Kenyas intention to join UN was to finance the war, nothing short nothing less. Perhaps the career army has showed enough muscle with a lean force, mark you there is a limited casualty level to that effect. Watever planes are in stock/in possession by the military is a kdf affair n when the time is right the region will be filled in.

Somewhere out there is a tree, tirelessly producing oxygen so that you can breathe. I think you owe it an apology. what erks you when we say we have the strongest military in the region, this is a FACT, Tanzania can't do sh*t military wise, U.G the same, all bark and no bite... I'd call you a cunt but you lack both the warmth and the depth.

What difference does that make? Would you one day invade TZ to take her land and Uganda to possess the crude found in the North? Waafrika vichwa vyetu hamnazo kabisa. Maendeleo ni kupigana na kukusanya silaha. No wonder Southern Sudan wameanza kupigana kwa ukabila.

this overtly simplistic thinking, kenya would neva invade another country without provocation...till recently the doctrine has always been 'be provoked first'. that clears Tz of any armed conflict, for Ug its about the political class n bigger EAC pic which actually i think will work in proxies if the federation fails. Wateva arsenal we buy you dont have to insinuate they'l ever if any b used against Kenyans, 07 was a political blunder, dont keep repeating it. The geopolitics of the region is changing very fast, Ug jumpstarted the arms race, i bet Tz are making some procurement too so stop hating. Dev ua economys but have adequate military assets to protect the same.

UN DOUBTS CLAIMS ERITREA SUPPLIED WEAPONS to Al -SHABAAB

The United Nations has discounted reports that Eritrea supplied weapons to the Al Shabaab to fight Kenyan troops last year.
A UN Security Council assessment report for December said investigations had established that Eritrea did not supply the weapons as alleged by the Kenya Defence Forces.

“The Monitoring Group also pursued its investigation into alleged arms deliveries by air to the Al Shabaab controlled airfields in Southern Somalia in late October and early November 2011. The SEMG’s preliminary assessment is that these reports were incorrect and that the alleged deliveries to Baidoa probably did not take place,” the report reads in part.

Military spokesman Major Emmanuel Chirchir had claimed that at least three aircrafts had landed at the Baidoa airstrip in Southern Somalia carrying weapons to the militants.

“We know Baidoa is being used to deliver weapons,” Chi rchir

was quoted at the time and warned that Kenyan troops will shoot down any aircraft overflying Southern Somalia.

Major Chirchir and company, you have to work very hard to restore your credibility

You really have the nerves! I am yet to be impressed by KDF. They have so far shown to be a bunch of cowards.

You just have to mention Tanzania somewhere, don't you?

ni kwasababu Kenya is an open society where this kind of news gets released and Ethiopia is not. Just because they don't release this news like Kenya does is not to say that these things do not happen.

That puts things in perspective, no?

Yes, they treat it as a lesson of how a nation with a disorganised army can be defeated easily with even a bunch of ganja smokers.

arrogance tu..vitendo sifuri!

Mkuu those shabaab guys do not even use weed, they eat khat (mirungi) and become sloppy but they are still able to withstand KDF. Talk of a "modern" army, cho!
