Avocados exported from Kenya are grown by Kenyan farmers , mainly from Muranga, Embu , Meru , Nyeri , Kirinyaga and adjacent areas..
Kenya has been looking for a bigger export market in China, because currently Kenya only exports 10% to 20% of avocados...

So you want to mean we are looking for an export market for TZ avocados and leave Kenyan avocados ?

If your avocado exports have risen from 0 to 12M , why are Kenyan exports not falling... in fact they are rising.

These people believe that the avocados we export are sourced from Tanzania. But the big question is: why can't Tanzania just export the avocados directly overseas instead of selling to Kenya which later exports overseas? How sensible is this?

If you were exporting avocados to Kenya, those would be 1st recorded as TZ exports to Kenya, before they are recorded as "re-exports from Kenya to other parts of the world"

So far TZ has had very low exports of avocados to anywhere.

If Kenya was making all that money from exporting TZ avocados, then TZ avocado farmers would also be recording huge sales..

Avocado processing giants kama, "Olivado" imekuwa Kenya toka miaka ya 2009. Hizi kampuni hufanya utafiti wa hali ya juu kabla kuingia nchi yeyote..
hakuna kampuni itajenga viwanda Kenya eneo ya Murang'a, kutegemea avocado kutoka TZ..

Jambo hili nimewafunza hapa sana ili muelewe international trade - exporting and importing , lakini mnajifanya sokwe.

Ukulima unaendelea nchi zingine pia, siyo Tanzania peke yake. Safiri uone dunia, ukiskia bidhaa inauzwa East Africa usije ukajidanganya imetoka TZ peke yake.

Kenya's output worth in agriculture is twice that in Tanzania. Even after so many Tanzanians have been bragging here that they produce more agricultural products than Kenya, luckily the truth is out.

These are mere statistics to suit the needs of the user or to suit the external market. Do we really need to produce more than we consume or produce more we consume than we export. So in Tanzania we produce more for our consumption first and then export comes second. Because very few people benefits out of those export business /products while many are starving, so let us put more efforts to build a society of people who eat well and export later ,rather than export while our people are starving. That's the difference
