Yes Corona is serious, Corona is bad but the wrong approach to fight Corona is not good either.
Kenya is an African country where people live by surviving on a day by day income.
A person has to go out seek food and provide to his family, What is in the mind of Kenyatta thinking that people are afraid of dying with Corona but are willingly ready to die of hunger?
China could afford to lockdown its citizen in Hubei because it has the means to provide for all 60 millions in Hubei (if it choses so), Can Kenya do that?
Kenyatta was right to shutdown borders but he is wrong trying to shut down his own people!. Had Kenys been a developed country, well off economically that would make sense.
Instead of locking down people, Kenya would have adopted a means to curtail unnecessary assemblies like vijiwe vya kupiga soga, sports, night clubs and etcetra, But you don't limit people buyying and selling stuffs
Kenya would have also emphasized anyone entering public transport or markets to wear masks instead of shutting down those places altogether.
In Tanzania the government is right to let livelihood go on, but it must stop all international flights, should encoursge people to wear mask in large gatherings and should stop unnecessary gatherings vijiweni discos, sports.
Also if it wants people to continue praying in prayer houses it can set strict rules, everyone going in should wear masks.
But life within the country must go on
