you may or may not know this but mobile trading has been in kenya for long. most brokers in kenya have had mobile apps for more than a 5 years now but that's beside the point. when it comes to the money market there are two markets. there is the primary and secondary market. the stock market is a secondary mkt. most mobile apps allow you to buy in this market. what makes mkiba the first is that it allows you to buy govt paper in the primary mkt i.e directly from the issuer who in this case is the govt.

Hahah the story has changed now! Maximalipo r the first dudes to introduce the software to do trading at the stocks
in the East Africa.
 
the problem with the bond market that mkiba is sorting is that the primary market has been the domain of banks. thats where it's customer value proposition is. you can laugh all you like but show me a country that allows it's citizenry to participate in the primary bond market like is being proposed? that's why even the story made it to the nasdaq site

kwa hiyo BBC, CNN Reuters wanatudanganya sio? wacha kujifanya mjuaji na wewe mjinga wa kupindukia....vitu vingine sio vya kubishana....its simple like 1+1=2 na wewe unataka kubishana eti sio 2 but ni 3....Kenya being number one in mobile money in the world is a simple fact just like 1+1....therefore, it doesnt help to try and prove otherwise.....watu watakuchukulia wewe ni punguani.....do you see ur fellow tanzanians wakibishana hapa? and the way some of ur colleagues ni wabishi...ni wewe pekee yako kwa hiyo ina maana wameshaona ukweli wa mambo na kupita kimya kimya...wanakuchukulia mjinga tu

mkiba does not deal in shares or corporate bonds so how can you talk bout shares. in mkiba there is no agent just direct transactions with the issuer. if you don't know how the market works sema tukusaidie. does the tz government issue bonds of as low as ksh 3k equiv to its citizens through mpesa?
if that's the case then mkiba is no the first and I agree with you. if not then what's your point.
