Thank you! We simply share to inspire and motivate people to work hard.

Small minds, timid minds with bankrupt imaginations call that, “sifa.”

Wow! Kuongoza Africa is not a joke especially when South Africa, Nigeria and Northern Africa are included in that equation. Kongole ziwaendee Wakenya.

Mimi niko kwenye Tech, i can tell you if we continue at this rate of churning out engineers, we will be un-beatable in the next 10years... man power here is king... no natural resources needed..

Hapa siwandanganyi watanzania, mtasoma label

Nimejaribu kuangalia Bongo wameweka hao Jibu hata siwafahamu. So natamani kujua criteria.

Not having any issue with Kenya leading or any country for that matter. But these data are fake. I can tell from what they've written about TZ. Wondering how they did their "research"
You can bring your own data to refute above. Fake data you say? Are there 4 Countries only in Africa to come up with such conclusions?

I don't know who started this nonsense that to refute false data you must come with your own. If somebody says we are 20 in our nuclear family, I can call that false without giving any data. It is that simple.

I know that data for Tanzania is completely in accurate which disqualifies it all.

Sorry I won't come with any data, but that won't change my already stated facts!

If you claim a report is “fake” the onus is on you to provide evidence of the falsehood and alternative to that report. That’s the simple logical corollary. 🤦🏽‍♂️

You bear the burden of proof my friend.

Evidence is clear for anyone who have either been here or have been following techie news here.

I don't want to mention any because to many that equals to endorsement. Fair enough? Providing alternative report isn't necessary!

Angalia hapo juu kwa hio picha , kwenye coner ya kushoto Imeandikwa "2019 Africa's $1M+ Deals in Startups"

EJQhdZgXUAAJIO0

Kwahivyo its not about just any startup, hapo wanaongelea startups ambazo ziliweza kuchangisha zaidi ya $1M (yanii 2.3Billion pesa za kitanzania) in startup capital kutoka kwa wateja au wawekezaji mwaka wa 2019.

----------------------------------------

-----------------------------------------------
Kenya took the lead in startups funding in Africa last year attracting Ksh 34.4 billion (US$ 348 million)(+136% YoY) in funding over 44 deals (+76% YoY), according to Partech Africa’s annual report on the financing of African Startups.
Nigeria has attracted US$ 306 million (+167% YoY) in funding over 26 deals (+53% YoY) and South Africa slowed down compared to Kenya and Nigeria, with US$ 250 million (+49% YoY) in funding over 37 deals.
The three countries received 78% of the total funding with Egypt close behind, an exact repeat of 2017.
In the rest of Africa, there were 19 countries with at least one equity tech deal above US$ 200K this year, compared to 13 countries in 2017. So, it is clear that the rest of the continent is actually growing as fast as the top 3 markets and now attracts decent attention. It’s important to note though that Egypt takes the lead here with 19 deals, nearly catching up with South Africa in activity. Regarding French-speaking Africa, Senegal confirms itself as the leading hub with US$ 22 million raised in 4 deals.

--------------------------------------------------
