we have a wide range of attack helis that can be used e.g Cobra AH 1s which are similar to Apaches that were used during operation desert storm

My friend those helicopters are old version. They fought in Vietnam war. They are too big and too heavy that why USA putting them in museum.

Who wins Kenya or Tanzania?
Tanzania would win. In strength they are practically the same, don’t let the figures fool you because it take more than budgets and equipment to win wars. With lack of equipment Tanzania make up on training and after the invasion of Uganda I bet the military has devised a plan of withstanding an invasion from any of it neighbors.

Kenya prime fighter jet is the F-5 by the US which was produced in the 80s while Tanzania uses revised version of the J-7 which has better performance, combat range and avionics. Tanzania also has the largest stock pile of SAMs than any of its neighbors. Removing the SAMs, the F-5 attacking from any airport or airstrip in Kenya can only attack major cities of Arusha and Tanga, which aren’t that strategic. On the other hand, Tanzania J-7 is launched an Attack from Tanga airbase can reach as far as Marsabit and if the attack is launched from Arusha or Mwanza airport can reach as far as Kakuma, meaning the Tanzania air force can hit any location in Kenya while the Kenyan air force can only hit the northern part of Tanzania.

The navies of these two African nations are a joke, so i won’t even mention them. But is Kenya was to launch a marine attack on Tanzania, the Tanzania military can send the J-7 or launch artillery at the incoming naval vessels which can be spotted by radar. With the short comings of the F-5, the Kenyan marines will be soaking in a blood bath

This lead to the most likely means of attacking would be by land. Tanzania has a good numbers of border posted and the information sharing set up form the village government level to the executive level is good that the information about an invasion, thus, the concept of surprise will be short lived. Also with a concentration of military posts and camps in Arusha, Tanga and Mara, moving forward will be difficult for the invading army and will new acquired long range artillery systems, and use of small drones and spy planes (which Tanzania does have) it will be easy to pin point the location of the invading army and hit it with mortal shells before coming and scrape of what is left.

If Kenya launched as small surgical strike, the use of mobile phones will ease the spread of information and will be first be engaged by the Tanzanian police before reinforcement from the Army comes, soo…… Yes, Tanzania can easily withstand an invasion from Kenya.

PS: For the Kenyans who what to reffer to the invasion of Somalia as point of reference for strength, just to remind them, they were not invading Somalia as a nation with equipment and a defense budget, they invaded a failed state so as to fight an insurgent group with no equipment like that of a nations i.e Tanzania.

Tanzania opeates chengdu J7 not F 7.
The only advantages it has against the F 5 are speed ,max altitude,and ferry range.
Remember ferry range is different from combat radius
F 5 has a combat radius almost twice that of a J7
F 5 can carry more bombs than J 7
infact it can carry 6.8tonnes while J7 will only carry 3.8tonnes

F 5 armaments are more superior they are the same used by most US jets such as F 15 and F 16 .e.g the AIM 9 sidewinder , python 3 missiles,agm 65 marverick etc

In summary the only thing a J7 would do is fly away very fast and I have said this before.
J 7s are just chinese upgraded MiG 21s which faired badly against old generation F 5 in Vietnam and Ethiopia.

Kwa taarifa tu. Ninataka kukueleza kuwa J-7 compared to F-16. Huwezi hata siku moja J-7 ukaifananisha na F-5. F-5 is a lighter fighter.
Halafu kwakuwa hujui mambo yanaenda J-7 huwa inaitwa F-7.
So when you compare these two birds ni kama mbingu na ardhi.

You are repeating what I already told you J7 is ahead of F5 in Ferry range , Speed and max altitude.
The ferry range you are talking about doesn't help in combat.

FERRY RANGE is the maximum distance the aircraft can fly from one base to another with maximum fuel and no ordinance ( weapons)

COMBAT RADIUS (aka RADIUS OF ACTION) is the distance from where an aircraft is based to where it flies to carry out a mission, and then return with a safe amount of fuel remaining.
For this case J7 has a combat radius of 850km while F 5 has a combat radius of 1400km.
I have told you we do airstrikes as far as kismayu so striking dar wouldn't be a problem.
 

I will also post a picture of our upgraded F5 tiger ii carrying an agm 65 marverick a guided bomb that is also used by the likes of F 15 , F 16 and F 18.
