Nshaliongelea post 39...hii habar mliileta last year pia, si mpya.
Hio tweet ni ya leo. Hebu angalia hapo chini inasema June 5th 2020. Lakini kukujibu, ni kweli Tanzania mko top ten. Nadhani nambari tisa au kumi.

Boss, kuna tofauti kubwa kati ya IMF(International Monetary Fund) na WHO(World Health Organisation). IMF huwa haijihusishi na masuala ya afya fani yao ni fedha na uchumi.

Chief, hapo nimejikita kwenye kujisifia makisio.

Not long ago we were not even in the top 10. The sound macro economic policies of our economists has made sure Kenya has a reselient economy. This year CBK sees a 2.9% growth despite majority of countries in the world getting into a recession including south africa.
Our highly diversified economy has proven to be the bedrock of east african growth. When tourism went to an all time low in 2014 the economy grew by 5.6% bolstered by manufacturing ,real estate and horticulture.
During this pandemic CBK has noted an increase in manufacturing especially in medical supplies that we imported eg ppe, surgical masks. They have also noted an increase in small businesses coming up after the layoffs due to the pandemic.
Kenyans never give up.

sadc countries are known for economic mismanagement. even the giant of sadc, south africa, is now in economic trouble due to poor macro economic policies, poorly skilled labor and restrictive labor laws that have starved their economy out of much needed talent. This is what happens when socialists and communists run out of other peoples money to spend.
Rwanda is booming majorly because they are open to talent and Kenyans thronged rwanda to start businesses. Uganda is a large exporter of food to Kenya due to Kenyan farmers who started agribusinesses in Uganda.
The biggest investors in Uganda currently are Kenyan companies with BUL (Bidco Uganda Limited) supporting over 50,000 farmers who supply it with raw materials. It also has 2 huge factories in uganda. Bidco never invested in Tanzania due to their government intefering in private business.

I saw that thread about an interchange. I chuckled and went to another thread. If it wasn't so sad it would be hilarious to see them bragging about one single interchange

Bora Upande ili mpunguze kukopa..maana mnatia aibu Africa mashariki na kusini mwa africa
We will borrow more as the economy grows. American government has debt equal to 100% of their GDP, China has debt to it's own state banks equal to 200% of their GDP.
Debt is not a problem, ability to pay is what matters. Kenya has never defaulted on it's debt, what IMF is worried about is that Kenya does not collect enough tax. GOK only collects less than 25% of GDP which put's stress on the budget.

Inasaidia nn kama uchumi uko mikononi mwa wachache

Estimates...

Kenyans are risk takers uchumi wao utazidi kupaa na TZ ya kikapuku itabaki hivyo na kamwe haitobadirika hadi mawazo uliyonayo na waliyonayo yafe!

I usually say kama in Moi's time we never collapsed, then came the 2007 PEV we also made it out, then we can even get better .
Our people are very resilient and willing to adapt and change when things change...
Tushangilie Kenya
