A young Kenyan girl aged 13 has been appointed as the Inspirational & Enthusiastic Young Champion Ambassador by the United Nations International Children's Emergency Fund (UNICEF).
Celebrating on her Twitter account, Wendy Waeni advocated for a world where all children are given equal opportunities, especially to education.
“I am Proud to be appointed as an Inspirational & Enthusiastic Young Champion Ambassador by @unicef. This year's World Children's Day on 20th Nov 2018 we advocate a World where every child is in school to achieve their dreams,” she wrote.

She went ahead to crunch the numbers stating that more than 260 million children are out of school.
“Every child in the world has the right to a free and quality education. More than 260 million children and young people are out of school, and many of them will never get an education,” she added.
She even blamed institutions over poor curriculum revealing that millions are in school but are not subject to quality education.
She has traversed the globe and met several international leaders since she performed to President Kenyatta. She has been to China, Spain, Germany and the UK for her craft.
“The first president I met was President Uhuru Kenyatta, on Jamuhuri Day. To greet the president felt so nice and I was just about to cry because I have never dreamt of greeting him.” she remarked of her meeting Uhuru.
Appearing on CNN African Voices in December 2017, the youngster noted that she wouldn’t concentrate too much on her impressive acrobatic career but her studies as well.
Education is important to her and she wants to be a journalist or pilot when she grows up.
