The Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture & Technology has now put it in writing: Didmus Wekesa Barasa, the MP for Kimilili, was never their student.
Ref: JKU/2/66/049, dated 14th September 2026. JKUAT's Registrar (Academic Affairs) states plainly — his name doesn't appear in their alumni records, JKUAT held no graduation in May 2008, and his purported Bachelor of Electrical and Electronic Engineering certificate is NOT GENUINE. Not "unverifiable." Not "inconclusive." Fake.
And this isn't new information sitting in a drawer —JKUAT says the same finding was already communicated to both the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACD) and the Engineers Board of Kenya (EBK)
Which raises the real question: if EBK had this on record, how does an MP sitting in Parliament on the strength of a fabricated engineering degree still carry professional recognition? Either EBK acted on it and the public deserves to know, or it sat on a confirmed forgery.
A forged certificate isn't a technicality — it's fraud used to access elective office and professional standing. EACC and EBK owe Kenyans a public accounting of what they did with JKUAT's finding, and when @CUE_Kenya
