That's NOT the conclusion of the article. "for this reason, PPP is generally regarded as a better measure of overall well-being"

Simple - just to break it down for you, for that particular reason, that's if we ignore other issues. But we can't ignore other issues.

If you read the whole article you would understand that PPP, though accounts for what you could purchase with a given amount of money, is not as reliable as market price since it is complex to calculate and the accuracy is wanting. That's why GDP nominal is still used as a measure of size of economy over GDP PPP.
