It's sad and it makes you look too poor when you talk about things that you do not knowTCU didn't assess propely the measures closure of a learning centre that had already awarded is a mistake. Capacity building was the best resort before closure. Political thinking overriding technical and expertise leads to crumbles.

More Tanzania's Universities have been barred to admit students, may be more than 20 of them!I don't see intergration as an excuse of tolerating poor quality education!I think they would transfer credits to other institutions... Magufuli is an enemy of country integration

Heading ilitakiwa iwe na quotation ya kuwa Kenyatta University Arusha Campus to Close Due to IrregularitiesKenyatta University is selling off some of its property on Arusha campus, signaling the start of plans to shut down the institutions' premises.
The university has called for persons or firms interested in disposing off the campus furniture and notes that the bids will be opened on August 28.
In an advertisement in local dailies, the Kenyatta University tender description reads: "disposal of furniture and other items at Arusha campus."
It was not clear what 'other items' constitute. And no tender fee has been fixed for those intending to bid. Bids will opened at the Kenyatta University Nairobi campus and at the Arusha campus.
The development signals the start of the closure of the foreign campus days after the Tanzania Commission for University (TCU) advised the university not to admit fresh students to their Arusha campuses.

TCU, the equivalent of Kenya Commission for University Education (CUE), also warned Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT) not to admit students to its campus in Arusha.
A TCU letter shows that the two universities were part of the long list of 19 institutions in Tanzania barred from admitting first year students. TCU acting executive secretary Prof Eleuther Mwangeni said an audit exercise showed the institutions were presiding over some irregularities affecting quality, that the commission wants addressed.

I think this story is not clear....but TCU said they are among university banned from admitting first year stundent 2017.....! Your concern is my concern...may be they don have continiung...students and this leaves so many questions.....What about the continuing students? Why should they not take a little patience for at least one semester?
And the intentions of this thread was to blame Magufuli..Please don't mention Magufuli in this issue because even Tanzanian owned university got the same order from TCU, so please Kenyans cool down a little bit!!!! We're refurbishing our university education!!!!!
