This man needs to be commended for his service to his nation and its people. One of the best judgements ever is written by him, to date even lawyers & judges in the west are left astounded when they read his work. Instead of appreciating his struggle against the corrupt & corruption in Tanzania, the Tanzanian corrupt elite threatened his life to silence him! Instead of honoring his achievements in making his nation adhere to the rule of law, (because a sovereign nation is committed to rule of law) respect human rights & justice, the corrupt TZ govt. adopted an antagonistic attitude towards him. Justice Ramadhani is one of the most loyal, patriotic Tanzanian & ALL Tanzanians should be proud of him!
It was when he was CJ thats when the historic arrest warrant for the governor of Bank of Tanzania was issued by the high court!!

Everybody is entitled to their opinion but as for Judge Ramadhani's legacy at the high court there is nothing that one could be proud of; this is the guy who presided over the case that denied Tanzanians their constitutional right of having independent candidates during general elections!! Ramadhani denied himself a page in the annuls of Tanzania's history by bowing to political pressure to rule against the independent candidature simply to appease the political elite.

I understand your opinion.
However, I'd like to add:
One cannot deny that there was a time in the history of this nation when HE was at the forefront of the fight against the political elite. We cannot deny him his history! In the struggle for Justice, Human Rights & of upholding the RULE OF LAW, this Tanzanian was on the front lines fighting against the CORRUPT VULTURES bleeding this nation dry! During those years, if one went against the few corrupt vultures (now considered the political elite) one would be kidnapped in broad daylight from their offices, thrown in jail, lives threatened for no reason but to sign documents with a gun pointing to their heads. YES, this is real, happened on the soil of free air breathing Tanzania! It was in this type of environment, where each moment, their lives under threat, few brave and courageous men stood up against what is now the "political elite" of this nation. They were witnesses to their nation being hijacked by The corrupt Vultures and stood UP to them & tried their best to STOP these THUGS from taking over their nation by upholding the rule of law!! For a sovereign nation is committed to the rule of law, not even, the President is above the law!
CJ Ramadhani cannot be denied his history in the role he played to uphold the rule of law in this nation!
Today, few Judges at High Court including one who is currently being considered for COA position has a questionable reputation for being one of the most corrupt judge delivering legally faulty rulings-to uphold the corrupt statusQUO!
