As much as its inhumane, I think they had it coming. It was/is a road reserve so definitely at a later time they would inevitably be evicted. Remember that's an informal settlement. It wasn't part of the initial plan. So those guys were squatters waiting for their fate.The government should have compensated these people. A government that does not care about it's poor people does not deserve any respect. Whether it was government land or not, whether notice was given or not; these people should have been compensated out of goodwill. On this one Uhuru Kenyatta ameniangusha vibaya sana. I feel for those poor people. I can only pray for them.
I can't fault the government on this, except maybe the timeline for evictions could have been extended for the relocation of the families living in that area
