KQ ina access Tanzania. Mbona hatukuambiwa?

KQ ina access Tanzania. Mbona hatukuambiwa?

It must be KLM which means people booked KQ but will be boarded onto a KLM flight from those airports to Nairobi then onwards to europe, america or other african countries. sasa Tanzania ifungie KLM mpaka iache uhusiano na KQ. HAHAHAHAHA
Ha ha ha basi sawa. Mbaki hukohuko na ma covid

1)The only thing that was banned was KQ not SkyTeam airlines, TZ like any other country needs airport revenues from airlines
2)Kenyans boarding other airlines are free to enter TZ
3)KQ is struggling to convince its customers that its lucrative 14 times a week to dar route is still on, so much so that it has to ivoke its skyteam code sharing
4)Meanwhile, any plane that lands with KQ code share pays TCAA airport fees + ect. Biashara iendelee
Aksante. Corona ya kenya naiogopa sana

i) Agreed.
ii) Agreed.
iii) Not really, then why are people booking KQ? If KQ does not fly to Tanzania anymore why would anyone book KQ from Tanzania unless they know that other skyteam members will bring them to Nairobi from where they will board their KQ flights to their final destination. Also you are wrong, the cut to 14 trips a week was GOT acting stupid in 2015 and KQ , GOK complied, but since then even though KQ makes losses, their revenues have been growing and now they generate $1.5 billion in revenues ie Customers love KQ that is why their revenues keep growing every year.
iv)Agreed which is bad news for GOT which thought it would punish KQ but surprise, foreigners who are exiting Tanzania still prefer KQ that is why they book KQ from Tanzania ie KQ still has presence in Tanzania whether you like it or not.
Boss KQ operates 14 flights per week to TZ. Since it's now banned, It made a very strategic decision to use code sharing on that route to maintain its presence even at a loss. Otherwise, they lose tht market to competition

Tanzania tuna ishi tutakavyo siyo mtakavyo nyie

Muishi mtakavyo kwenu huko hatuna shida hata mkijifia, ila njaa zenu zikiwapeleka kwenye nchi za watu mkubali masharti yao, sio mng'ang'anie kuja kwetu huku na hamtaki kupimwa, lazima tuwapime hadi mapumbu.

iv) Not bad to GoT, as we are not loosing anything from banning KQ.

Tulia dawa iingie, kila mtu ashinde mechi zake

My friend as stated I earlier KQ still has a presence through precision airlines,KLM, Air France etc. Now you are just looking for arguments where there are none.

And as I said earlier too, GOT reduced KQ flights to 14 from 32 in 2015, since then KQ revenues have grown to $1.5 billion despite operational costs increasing leading to losses. Now they have banned even the 14 flights weekly , but last year they granted Jambo jet a KQ subsidiary a licence to operate budget flights from Nairobi to Tanzania, even though it is yet to start the flights.

KQ loses little since it has a presence from it's partners and subsidiary (Precision airlines), GOT loses revenue in landing fees that came from KQ planes but also GOT loses credibility in front of investors as an unstable and irrational entity that can not abide by the contracts it makes. And this action makes would be investors become wary of dealing with Tanzania, so yes KQ loses some revenue but GOT tarnishes it's image that is already fragile after all the debacle with other investors in the country.

If you notice Tanzania took a dip on the ease of doing business ranking due to actions like these, costing the Tanzania economy more than the little KQ will lose, all to satisfy the ego of a megalomaniac. Private investors look at such actions and reports and conclude that GOT is adversarial to business, this leaves Kenya as the only option in east and central africa. The only investors who might be willing to risk are those in the extraction industry.

[emoji38]
