The benefits KQ brings to Kenya is more than it's profit. Remember more than 70% of shares is held by Kenyans.

Which investors are talking about regarding Mombasa port? Huge chunk of Mombasa port is Managed by KPA, it's only the one berth that is operated by private sector.

The largest shareholder is the Government of Kenya (48.9%), 38.1% is owned by KQ Lenders Company 2017 Ltd. (in turn owned by a consortium of banks), followed by KLM, which has a 7.8% stake in the company. The rest of the shares are held by private owners; shares are traded on the Nairobi Stock Exchange, the Dar es Salaam Stock Exchange, and the Uganda Securities Exchange.[5][6][7]

Do you know who are those KQ lenders? One of them is Equity bank (Kenyan bank), KCB(Kenyan bank), Cooperative bank(Kenyan bank) among others. Other shareholders are Chris Kirubi (Kenyan), Uhuru Kenyatta (Kenyan)

Kwa mfano kuna ranking ya top airlines by :
1>aircraft numbers
2>Ratings (Yani vitu kama experience, inflight entertaiment, timeliness)
3>Passenger numbers
5> category (Eg Bussiness class, Economy class)
6> Revenue/Profit

Habari ya Mwaka jana (ambayo ilikua inaongelea takwimu za 2017) ilionyesha KQ ikiwa na 4.46 Million, sasa tumefika 5.3 million!!!
