The best proposal ni hii ya eliakeem . Better to have a regional carrier operating alongside the national carriers. I believe an East African Airline with unrestricted access to all corners of the EAC could rival the likes of Ethiopian!

Its an idea it can work, but to me is more of symbolic rather than necessity. We have to asked ourselves. Covering EAC, will that put a dent on big airline like Ethiopian airline? And who will be the owner of this so called regional airline, member states, private sector. And how are we going to protect national airlines, because you've to remember these national airlines are source of revenue to local governments and they are not going anywhere anytime soon.
