On 24th March 2024, pale Country Bus town, Huyu Askari, David Kibet Chesire, alikuwa na wenzake wakifanya patrol pale. Ju kulikuwa kumenyesha sana, kuna mama alikuwa amejikinga kwa hizo stalls zinakuanga hapo pamoja na watoto wake watatu.
Sasa vile mvua iliacha kunyesha, walilemewa kuvuka hiyo side ingine juu maji ilikuwa imebeba slab moja ya hiyo mtaro ya drainage, making it impossible for the mother and her three children to cross safely.
Being a good cop, Chesire akakimbia kuwaokoa. Na kweli, he successfully rescued the mother and her three children.
But after securing the family, Chesire akaona ile mlango ya hiyo stall ilikuwa imefunguliwa. Akafikiria arudi aifunge ndio wezi wasiibe vitu ndani.
Vile alirudi, kumbe maji ya mtaro ilikuwa inaongezeka. Ikakuja ikiwa imebeba ile slab kidogo ilikuwa imebaki. Hii ikafanya Chesire aslide akaingia kwa hiyo manhole.
Maji ikakuja ikiwa imembeba pamoja na Ak47 yake.
And that was the last time his colleagues saw him.
