John was known familiarly as the Baptist which simply means an immerser, one who administers the rite of immersion (see Mt. 3:1; 11:11; etc.). John preached about the coming kingdom and the need to repent.

If Muhammad was a Prophet of God, no one would demand him miracles if he had already performed one. That means, he did not perform even a single miracle.
