Well,I ran across the web to find some and found few worth putting up.
AllergiesOne of the disadvantages of getting a permanent tattoo is the effects of a sensitive skin. Those with sensitive skin are more prone to developing rashes due to the ink used to get a tattoo.
Acute inflammatory allergic reaction. Many people who get tattoos experience what's called an acute inflammatory reaction — the skin becomes red, slightly swollen, and irritated at the site of the tattoo. This occurs because of the irritation caused by the tattoo needle and the tattoo ink. It's not serious, and generally subsides within about two or three weeks.Photosensitivity. Tattoos that are exposed to the sun may result in an allergic reaction, particularly those that contain yellow tattoo ink. Yellow and some red pigments contain cadmium sulfide, which can cause an allergic reaction when exposed to the sun.Dermatitis. Some of the most common tattoo allergies include types of dermatitis — photoallergic and allergic contact dermatitis. Most often, these types of allergic reactions are caused by mercury sulfide, which is found in red tattoo ink.Lichenoid allergic reaction. This is rare, but is typically related to red tattoo ink, and characterized by small bumps that appear around the red ink areas.Pseudolymphomatous allergic reaction. Caused by sensitivity to a substance in the tattoo ink, this is a delayed reaction — it doesn't occur right after getting the tattoo. Red tattoo ink is usually to blame, but it can result from blue and green as well.Granulomas. These are small bumps that can appear as a result of an allergic reaction. Red tattoo ink is most often the culprit, but purple, green, or blue tattoo ink may also cause these bumps to form around the site of the tattoo.
Signs of an Allergic Reaction
The signs vary depending on the type of allergic reaction and the ingredient in the tattoo ink that's causing it. Common signs of an allergic reaction to a tattoo include:
SwellingRednessRash or bumpsFlakingScaly appearancePurple or red nodules around the tattoo
InfectionThe other disadvantage of getting a permanent tattoo is infection. This usually occurs when you visit an unhygienic studio to get inked. Hepatitis is one of the infections which is caused by used and infected needles.
After CareOne of the main disadvantages of getting a permanent tattoo is the lack of after care. When you do not follow certain rules applied by the artist, you will run into major problems related to your tattoo.
Blood donationDid you know that people with tattoos cannot donate blood? Yes, it is one of the main disadvantages of getting a permanent tattoo.
Tattoo is only acceptable if the tattoo was applied by a state-regulated entity using sterile needles and ink that is not reused. Cosmetic tattoos applied in a licensed establishment in a regulated state using sterile needles and ink that is not reused is acceptable. You should discuss your particular situation with the health historian at the time of donation.
Wait 12 months after a tattoo if the tattoo was applied in a state that does not regulate tattoo facilities. Currently, the only states that DO NOT regulate tattoo facilities are: District of Columbia, Georgia, Idaho, Maryland, Massachusetts, Nevada, New Hampshire, New York, Pennsylvania, Utah and Wyoming. This requirement is related to concerns about hepatitis.
What are tattoo and piercing facilities?
Public health sanitarians inspect and license tattoo and piercing establishments to ensure safe and sanitary conditions are being maintained. Unless you have a specific skin condition, such as keloid formation or allergies, there are no medical disadvantages of getting tattoos. However socially tattoos are best kept hidden in a formal work environment. Make sure you are able to cover up the tattoo, so it's always better to get in done in places that can be hidden by clothing. However this rule can be bent if your office policy is more flexible. But generally, nothing above the neck is a good idea.
The one thing to remember while considering a tattoo is why you're getting it. If you want to get yet another butterfly wings or angels, please stop and reconsider your idea. Chances are you'll end up getting bored in a few years. Tattoos are usually for life, and laser removal procedures are messy and expensive.
Get your tattoo from a reputed artist who uses disposable needles and sterilised tools. While your tattoo is healing, the first two weeks are important, and you need to follow care instructions carefully. And don't ever put Vaseline in your tattoo. It'll pull ink out and fade the ink. Use a light moisturizer like Johnson's baby oil instead.
A good rule is to give yourself six months to think about the tattoo idea. Once you've got a meaningful concept in mind, discuss it with your tattoo artist and you'll be good to go.

There are no advantages or disadvantages with having a tattoo.
There could be social issues with getting a tattoo depending on where you live and/or tattoo placement, as well as the size of the tattoo.
In most office environments here in America, I think a small "stylish" or "classy" tattoo has become accepted when seen on a woman. I have seen many women with a small tattoo on their wrist or a cursive name or small design on a shoulder tattoo.
As long as the woman does not have "sleeves" or face/front of neck tattoos she should be accepted in an office environment.
I've also seen tasteful tattoos behind a woman's ear or on the back of the neck that look very sexy (in my opinion) and are in no way out of place in an office setting or most other professional work places.

I have had a tattoo on my right hand, the outer bicep, if I might call it that, for more than two years now. It's fairy large. It's an anchor. So far so good. No issues.
I don't think there are many disadvantages of having a tattoo.
But,
If you wanna join the Indian army, tattoos other than the ones on the inside of your forearms MIGHT be an issue. Also it's important that the tattoo is not vulgar nor hurts religious sentiments. For a first tattoo, either get a small one or one on a limb where you can hide it, or flaunt it, according to convenience.Blood donation: This according to me is the greatest disadvantage. Most institutions will refuse blood donations from you coz of your tattoos
