Maoni yangu binafsi juu ya masuala mbalimbali yanayoendelea duniani

If that was true why TBC1 did not cover that trip and bombard us with feedbacks?

If that was true why back home official engagements assigned to him were conspicuous and passim?

Were we not blitzed with official apologies why Mpango, the guest of honour, was missing in action?

Lies is the least we expect from public leaders

They have to lead by example from the forefront

What is wrong of getting sick?

Save for the shame of running away from Bima ya Afya!

Our national leaders are so hypocritical that one wonders why milk residents of trillions if themselves will never be treated locally under the purview of BIMA YA AFYA but raze billions of the same taxes to be treated abroad?

Everybody gets sick, and pretending otherwise is informed by pride, arrogance and insecurities

Pretending you are superhuman or omnipotent while you are not provokes the anger of God

Mpango thanked the congregation for praying for him

"Asanteni sana kwa kuniombea....." - Mpango

Why should they pray for you unless you were under medical duress?

SECOND WEEK OF ADVENT YEAR B

FIRST READING
“God will come and save you.”
ISAIAH 35: 1 –10

The wilderness and the dry land shall be glad, the desert shall rejoice and blossom; like the lily it shall blossom abundantly, and rejoice with joy and singing. The glory of Lebanon shall be given to it, the majesty of Carmel and Sharon. They shall see the glory of the Lord, the majesty of our God. Strengthen the weak hands, and make firm the feeble knees. Say to those who are of a fearful heart, “Be strong, fear not! Behold, your God will come with vengeance, with the recompense of God. He will come and save you.” Then the eyes of the blind shall be opened, and the ears of the deaf unstopped; then shall the lame man leap like a deer, and the tongue of the mute sing for joy. For waters shall break for thin the wilderness, and streams in the desert; the burning sand shall become a pool, and the thirsty ground springs of water; the haunt of jackals shall become a swamp, the grass shall become reeds and rushes. And a highway shall be there, and it shall be called the Holy Way; the unclean shall not pass over it, and fools shall not err therein. No lion shall be there, nor shall any ravenous beast come up on it; they shall not be found there, but the redeemed shall walk there. And the ransomed of the Lord shall return, and come to Zion with singing; everlasting joy shall be upon their heads; they shall obtain joy and gladness, and sorrow and sighing shall flee away.

The Word of the Lord.

RESPONSORIAL PSALM
Psalm 85: 9ab and 10, 11 - 12, 13 - 14 (R.) Isaiah 35: 4f

R/. Our God will come and save us!

I will hear what the Lord God speaks;
He speaks of peace for his people and his faithful.
His salvation is near for those who fear him,
And his glory will dwell in our land. R/.

Merciful love and faithfulness have met;
justice and peace have kissed.
Faithfulness shall spring from the earth,
and justice look down from heaven. R/.

Also the Lord will bestow his bounty,
and our earth shall yield its increase.
Justice will march before him,
And guide his steps on the way. R/.

GOSPEL ACCLAMATION

Alleluia.
Behold, the King is coming, the Lord of the earth, and he shall remove the yoke of our captivity.
Alleluia.

GOSPEL
“We have seen strange things today.”
LUKE 5: 17 - 26

On one of those days, as Jesus was teaching, there were Pharisees and teachers of the law sitting by, who had come from every village of Galilee and Judea and from Jerusalem; and the power of the Lord was with him to heal. And behold, men were bringing on a bed a man who was paralysed, and they sought to bring him in and lay him before Jesus; but finding no way to bring him in, because of the crowd, they went up on the roof and let him down with his bed through the tiles into their midst before Jesus. And when he saw their faith he said, “Man, your sins are forgiven you.” And the scribes and the Pharisees began to question, saying, “Who is this that speaks blasphemies? Who can forgive sins but God only?” When Jesus perceived their questionings, he answered them, “Why do you question in your hearts? Which is easier, to say, ‘Your sins are forgiven you, ’or to say, ‘Rise and walk’? But that you may know that the Son of man has authority on earth to forgive sins”— he said to the man who was paralysed—“I say to you, rise, take up your bed and go home.” And immediately he rose before them, and took up that on which he lay, and went home, glorifying God. And amazement seized them all, and they glorified God and were filled with awe, saying, “We have seen strange things today.”

SECOND WEEK OF ADVENT YEAR B

MEMORIAL OF OUR LADY OF GUADALUPE

FIRST READING
God comforts his people.
ISAIAH 40: 1 - 11

Comfort, comfort my people, says your God. Speak tenderly to Jerusalem, and cry to her that her warfare is ended, that her iniquity is pardoned, that she has received from the Lord’s hand double for all her sins. A voice cries: “In the wilderness prepare the way of the Lord, make straight in the desert a highway for our God. Every valley shall be lifted up, and every mountain and hill be made low; the uneven ground shall become level, and the rough places a plain. And the glory of the Lord shall be revealed, and all flesh shall see it together, for the mouth of the Lord has spoken.” A voice says, “Cry!” And I said, “What shall I cry?” All flesh is grass, and all its beauty is like the flower of the field. The grass withers, the flower fades, when the breath of the Lord blows upon it; surely the people is grass. The grass withers, the flower fades; but the word of our God will stand for ever. Get you up to a high mountain, O Zion, herald of good tidings; lift up your voice with strength, O Jerusalem, herald of good tidings, lift it up, fear not; say to the cities of Judah, “Behold your God!” Behold, the Lord GOD comes with might, and his arm rules for him; behold, his reward is with him, and his recompense before him. He will feed his flock like a shepherd, he will gather the lambs in his arms, he will carry them in his bosom, and gently lead those that are with young.

The Word of the Lord.

RESPONSORIAL PSALM
Psalm 96: 1 - 2, 3 and 10ac, 11 - 12a, 12b - 13 (R.) Isaiah 40: 9 - 10

R/. The Lord our God comes with might.

O sing a new song to the LORD;
sing to the Lord, all the earth.
O sing to the Lord; bless his name.
Proclaim his salvation day by day. R/.

Tell among the nations his glory,
And his wonders among all the peoples.
Say to the nations, “The Lord is king.”
he will judge the peoples in fairness. R/.

Let the heavens rejoice and earth be glad;
let the sea and all within it thunder praise.
Let the land and all it bears rejoice. R/.

Then will all the trees of the wood shout for joy;
at the presence of the Lord, for he comes,
he comes to judge the earth.
He will judge the world with justice;
He will govern the peoples with his truth. R/.

GOSPEL ACCLAMATION

Alleluia.
The day of the Lord is near; behold, he shall come to save us.
Alleluia.

GOSPEL
God does not will that the little ones should perish.
MATTHEW 18: 12 - 14

At that time: Jesus said to his disciples, “What do you think? If a man has a hundred sheep, and one of them has gone astray, does he not leave the ninety-nine on the hills and go in search of the one that went astray? And if he finds it, truly, I say to you, he rejoices over it more than over the ninety-nine that never went astray. So it is not the will of my Father who is in heaven that one of these little ones should perish.”
