Interior Cabinet Secretary Dr. Fred Matiang'i has declared Monday, July 11, 2022, a public holiday.

In a gazette notice issued on Friday, Matiang'i said Monday would be holiday to allow the marking of Eid al-Adha.
"IT IS notified for general information that in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 3 as read with section 2 (2) of the Public Holidays Act (Cap. 110), the Cabinet Secretary for Interior and Co-ordination of National Government declares Monday, 11th July, 2022 a public holiday marking Idd–ul –Adha," reads the Gazette Notice dated July 8, 2022.

Eid al-Adha also known as the Feast of the Sacrifice, is the second and the biggest celebration within Islam.
This day honours the willingness of the Islamic Prophet Ibrahim, also known as Abraham, to sacrifice his son Ismail as an act of obedience to Allah’s command.

If Muslims will thoroughly celebrate this holiday, they cannot but understand that Abraham's sacrifice was a symbol of the coming Messiah--Lord Jesus Christ.

How in the world do they not come across this simple mathematics? Truly, one may strain out gnats, but swallow a camel!

It can therefore be rightly said that Christian Passover is Islam's Eid al-Adha (eyd alfash)
