The Deputy RCC for Mbarara City North Division, Jackline Kankunda, has directed city authorities to assess renovation works carried out on a two-classroom block at Nyabuhama Primary School at a reported cost of Shs40.7 million.
Kankunda raised concerns about the quality of the work after cracks reportedly appeared on the building.
She also questioned City Civil Engineer Eng. Abiaz Nkwatsibwe over the failure to provide the project’s Bills of Quantities.
The contractor, Bless Team Uganda Limited, was reportedly absent from the site when officials sought answers about the works.
