And the real deal i.e. Ugandan pipeline will bring over $878 mln per year as transit fees for 200,000 barrels aside 15000 jobs! Those offices should not make u be that stupid to an extent of not weighing the benefits in comparison to Ugandan pipeline! all of those offices bring less than half what transit fees will bring to Tanzania's coffers! Mind u that figure excludes DRC Congo and South Sudan that are currently in negotiations with Uganda and Tanzania to use the same pipeline! as u strive to bring offices to Nirobi tanzania is preparing herself to be the East african capital for gas and oil businesses considering Tanzania on its own is to start a construction of over $30 bln LNG plant in Lindi region! Probably the largest investment deal in Africa! and believe me when the pipeline and LNG are in place those banks will start migrating to Dar one after another as Economics dictate!

The comprehension capacity of some posters here is lower than i thought, just because Total was unwilling to fund a pipeline through Kenya does not make Tanzanians master negotiators for concluding the deal; it makes them opportunists

1.We know english>>(with kikuyu and luo accents)
2. The list of international organizations with headquarters in Nairobi
3.We are capitalist country vs ujamaa (lol)
4.East African Economic powerhouse
5.Comparing any thing with of neighbor countries especial when it is said to be good or better.
6.We are aggressive/sometime they use the word 'we are humble'

Ug si ni COW member, unaingia tu kama unaenda chooni, kuja huku you need to have yellow fever vaccination docs, a passport na hela mingi. The best online resources on kiswahili are from your northern neighbour. Tembea Google play store and see which is the best smartphone app for kamusi for instance. Even universities in the West that teach the language of Shaban Robert are full of nyangaus teaching and researching . We have done with kiswahili what the Americans have done with English 😱wned it, popularised it and made it "cool".Am still waiting to be told of one indisputably Tanzanian cultural or social import on the Kenyan landscape that we have to bend our knees in humble worship to.
