Obotte; Wasanii ondoeni tofauti zenu
Saturday, 25 December 2010 11:28

Elizabeth Suleyman

Your indispensable Christmas football TV guide: don't miss a kick over the festive period!

There's so much football on the box over the next fortnight that you'll need some serious planning to make sure you see it all. Luckily the Daily Mirror's Alan McKinlay has all the details...
Ah, the collision of the festive and football seasons – the best mixture of ingredients since Kellogs put sugar on Rice Krispies and called them Ricicles.
The Italians may take Christmas off in Serie A (and Rafa Benitez will be getting get a few extra days in the New Year as well), but we are made of sterner stuff.
And while you're waiting for all the live games, those cheeky chaps from Gillette Soccer Saturday kick off the Christmas festivities on Christmas Eve with their Soccer Special (Sky Sports 1, Fri Dec 24, 8pm) .

Eight of the regulars are paired into four teams to manage under-14 teams in a knockout competition.
Host Jeff Stelling makes his Saturday role as referee official this time as he tries to keep control of the mayhem.
The management teams are: Iain Dowie/Allan McInally, Paul Jewell/Kris Kamara, Matt Le Tissier/Paul Merson, Charlie Nicholas/Phil Thompson. The Le Tiss/Merse team will certainly be worth watching.
If you haven't had your fill of football-based banter by 10pm, stay tuned for the Take it Like a Fan Christmas Special (Sky Sports 1, Fri Dec 24, 10pm) , when Fenners and Charlotte Jackson put the cream of Sky Sports talent to the test.
If, like me, you're an admirer of Owen Coyle's managerial skills but were always curious about his ability to find Treble 20 at will, then the Soccer AM Christmas Special (Sky Sports 1, Sat Dec 25, 10am) is worth having on in the background while you unwrap your presents on Christmas morning.
After the japery, though, it's time to get serious, and it doesn't get more serious than Avram Grant's facial expression, which can be seen in all it's HD glory when Fulham take on West Ham (Sky Sports 1, Sun Dec 26, 11.30am) in the first of the festive season's live games.
As Manchester City are not featured in the holiday season's live games, it will probably be down to Aston Villa v Tottenham (Sky Sports 1, Sun Dec 26, 5.30pm)to provide the greatest number of snoods and gloves this Christmas. Spurs may not have a realistic chance of winning the Premier League, despite what Harry says, but they are the entertainment champions-elect.
The Christmas Match of the Day (BBC1, Sun Dec 26, 10.15pm) is a must, although these days you'll probably have to wait until the Football League Show (BBC1, Sun Dec 26, 11.45pm) to be rewarded with the heart-warming and once-familiar sight at this time of year of an orange football or two.
Arsenal and Chelsea (Sky Sports 1, Mon Dec 27, 7pm)battle it out the day after in arguably the pick of the Christmas fixtures, but who would have thought a month ago that this would be a clash between two of the most dispirited teams in the league?
December 28 offers up a triple bill of live football, kicking off with suddenly-shaky QPR's trip to Coventry (Sky Sports 1, Tues Dec 28, 12.00pm). Whether they win or not will determine whether the magnificent Neil Warnock comes over as Scrooge or Santa in the post-game interview.
West Ham v Everton (Sky Sports 1, Tues Dec 28, 5.30pm)is the teatime offering. This is the third game of the three Avram Grant was allegedly told he had to find a win amongst – and is arguably the toughest.
The 8.00pm kick-off for Birmingham v Manchester United (Sky Sports 1, Tues Dec 28, 7.30pm)ensures two things at St Andrews - a great atmosphere and an even-redder-than-usual nose in the bitter cold for Fergie as he battles his one-time Aberdonian pupil Alex McLeish.
And given the cold weather, is it too much to hope that Roy Hodgson goes in for another spot of face-rubbing when Liverpool take on Wolves (Sky Sports 1, Weds Dec 29, 7.30pm)at Anfield? You could certainly forgive him a bit of head-scratching at Fernando Torres' transformation into a very ordinary-looking player Later that night, Match of the Day (BBC1, Weds Dec 29, 10.35pm) wraps up the action of the past two days.
It seems a forlorn hope that post-Hogmanay Edinburgh will be in any fit state to stage the city's derby between Hearts and Hibernian (ESPN, Sat Jan 1, 12.00pm) . Because of the weather, of course, what did you think I meant?
Sky counters with another trip to the West Midlands for Manchester United, who face West Bromwich Albion (Sky Sports 1, Sat Jan 1, 12.30pm).
Festive is perhaps not the description most Birmingham fans would attribute to this time of year as the Blues follow up the visit of Manchester United by hosting Arsenal (ESPN, Sat Jan 1, 4.45pm) .
Hardcore armchair addicts - or just those who can't get off the sofa – are rewarded with Watford v Portsmouth (Sky Sports 1, Sat Jan 1, 5.15pm) , and there's always the double helping of live La Liga action (Sky Sports 3, Sat Jan 1, 7-11pm) if you have to watch all day to win a bet.
Match of the Day (BBC 1, Sat Jan 1, 10.30pm) and the Football League Show (BBC 1, Sat Jan 1, 11.50pm) provide the highlights of all the New Year's Day action in England on terrestrial telly.
Rangers v Celtic (Sky Sports 4, Sun Jan 2, 12.00pm)is a must-see because the atmosphere is sensational, goals are guaranteed, and the sheer physicality of the game means that no one ever complains that "you just can't tackle any more" afterwards.
Watch the first half at least and then turn over to Chelsea v Aston Villa (Sky Sports 1, Sun Jan 2, 1.00pm) and I guarantee it will seem tame by comparison.
The final British live game of the holiday season is Wigan v Newcastle (Sky Sports 1, Sun Jan 2, 3.30pm) , but you can get your double helping of La Liga ((Sky Sports 2, Sun Jan 2, 6-10pm) before Match of the Day 2 (BBC2, Sun Jan 2, 10pm) wraps things up with the day's highlights.
*All live games also available in HD

1) How has your club's season gone so far?
Being bottom of the league is very bad, being in a cup semi-final is very good. So it's been a mixed season.
2) What would be a good finish for your side in the league? Do you fancy your chances in the FA Cup? Or League Cup?

After being bottom at Christmas, getting to 17th would be a result. However, I still fancy us to win the League Cup.
3) Where would you like to strengthen your team in the January window and will it happen? Any particular players you'd like to see at your club?
We need a striker who can score! Carlton Cole (top), Frederic Piquionne (middle) and Victor Obinna (below) are hardly prolific.
4) Are you *bothered that England failed to land the 2018 World Cup bid?
It would have been nice, but football *authorities have had a problem with England for years. We won't get anything like this for a long time.
5) Is there one big decision your club has to take or has taken? Will it make or break your season?
The fans mostly seem to be against Avram Grant. The *possible stadium move is dividing people.
The owners need to *appease the fans because, if they aren't behind the club, then we have no chance of staying up.

1) How do you think your club’s season has gone so far?
Gutted at this season so far. We have lost about eight players to injury and the new manager has had no honeymoon period at all. Just not clicking at all right now. Depressing!
2) What would be a good finish for your side in the league? Do you fancy your chances in the FA Cup?

Start of season, even with MON’s untimely exit, I’d have expected top six, but with so many injuries and no time to buy any players and things really not clicking on the field, I’d take top ten now. As for the FA Cup, we can but dream.
3) Where would you like to strengthen your team in the January window and will it happen? Any particular *players you’d like to see at your club?
Every position on the pitch if our current lot don’t start playing with some pride. They may or may not like the new manager, that does not excuse some of their behaviour. We need a new goalie, probably in the summer though, but mostly we need bodies in midfield and a couple of new strikers.
4) Are you bothered that England failed to land the 2018 World Cup bid?
More bothered the corrupt way it was dealt with and the lies about votes. Lack of respect to England and a waste of our time and money.
5) Is there one big decision your club has to take or has taken? Will it make or break your season?
I guess how many games Gerard Houllier will be *allowed to stay in charge if we keep losing.

Gillette ends contract with Tiger Woods

Shaving brand will not renew advertising deal with golfer Tiger Woods

    Tiger-Woods-who-has-been--007.jpg
Gillette has joined the list of companies to have cut ties with Tiger Woods since last year's revelations of marital infidelities. Photograph: John Sommers /Reuters Gillette has announced that it will not renew its endorsement deal with the golfer Tiger Woods at the end of the year.
The shaving brand's move adds another name to the list of companies to have cut ties with the golfer after last year's revelations of marital infidelities.
The company has used Woods, Roger Federer, Lionel Messi and dozens of other athletes as part of its three-year "Gillette champions" marketing campaign. Gillette said yesterday it was phasing out that programme and not renewing its contracts with Woods and several other athletes. It stopped using Woods in the campaign months ago.
The golfer was once sought after by advertisers and the first athlete to earn $1bn from endorsement agreements. Many corporations cut ties or distanced themselves from him after the scandal that broke just over a year ago and dominated headlines for months.
The consultancy firm Accenture, telecoms giant AT&T and soft drinks manufacturer Gatorade have all dropped Woods. Companies such as Gillette and Tag Heuer did not end their relationships outright but stopped featuring him in advertisements. Nike and Electronic Arts, which had invested in his skills as a golfer rather than as a more general symbol of excellence, stuck with him.
Woods is trying to rebuild his golf reputation after his first year as a pro golfer without a tournament victory and losing his ranking as the world's top player.
Gillette is also ending its contracts with other athletes, including the footballers Messi, Thierry Henry, and Kaka, as the marketing programme concludes.
It is keeping others, including Federer, thehockey star Alex Ovechkin and the New York Yankees captain, Derek Jeter, for new marketing campaigns.

1) How do you think your club's season has gone so far?
Fantastically in the Champions League, pretty well in the Prem, considering we've had quite a few injuries. We are still in the mix so hopefully we can finish at least in the top four again this season.
2) What would be a good finish for your side in the league? Do you fancy your chances in the FA Cup?

Another top four finish would be great, though in this topsy-turvy season anything could be possible! Fancy our chances in the FA Cup as the year ends in one!
3) Where would you like to strengthen your team in the January window and will it happen? Any particular players you'd like to see at your club?
I think we need a new goalkeeper. Heurelho Gomes has his good moments, but he has had a few indifferent ones recently. A "world class" striker such as Karim Benzema.
4) Are you bothered that England failed to land the 2018 World Cup bid?
Yes. How we managed to get only one vote (apart from our own!) is an absolute joke and makes a complete mockery of the bidding process.
5) Is there one big decision your club has to take or has taken? Will it make or break your season?
We have a very good squad, so don't think there is much we need to do in the January transfer window. If we could add one or two "top-class" players then this may help give us a bit of a boost. Also, a decision needs to be made about the futures of Ledley King and Jonathan Woodgate.

Minziro aumiza kichwa kuinususru Shooting

na Ruhazi Ruhazi

amka2.gif

Africa win was highlight of the golf season

In Summary

  • There was plenty to celebrate for amateur golfers as the year comes to an end, but professional golfers still have some work to do

Events surrounding the golfing world in 2010 were as sizzling off the golf course as they were on the course.

For the Kenyan golfing fraternity, perhaps the highlight of the year was the victory of the men's amateur team at the Africa Golf Championships in Botswana.

This was Kenya's first victory in their 21-year appearances.

The team, led by KGU chairman Parshu Hirani and anchored by Kenya's top amateur golfers, Stefan Andersen and Collins Omondi, demolished the South African opposition, writing history with this victory.

For decades Kenya had played second fiddle to South Africa and in recent times, even Swaziland and Zimbabwe had bettered our boys.

Kenya will now host the 2011 edition of the Zone VI and our team will be firm favourites as defending champions and hosts.

Incidentally, a team led by former KGU chairman Samson Ndegwa is seeking sponsorship for the 2011 Africa Golf Championship and Kenyan corporates will do well to support this event. The venue of the event is not decided but Leisure Lodge Golf Resort is favourite.

Kenya's success at the Zone VI was, unfortunately, not replicated at the East Africa Golf Challenge in Kigali in November; Kenya tied defending champions Uganda on 17.5 points and consequently our Ugandan brothers kept the trophy.

Kenya also sent a team to the Eisenhower Trophy in Argentina in October, this was Kenya's second visit to this top international event in 56 years!

Controversy in team selection

The trip to Argentina and the preceding "boot-camp" were supported by the GTF, led by Thika's Davies Njoka and Royal's Patrick Musimba.
Controversy surrounded the team selection, with the KGU opting for the KGU Golfer of the Year ranking and the GTF favouring trials.

The team that consequently represented Kenya included Collins Omondi and Boniface Simwa, whom the KGU had no quarrel with; however, the team also included Stefan Andersen, who was top in the trials but not so on the KGU Goty series – and this was the source of much controversy that eventually led to the dissolution of the GTF board in total!

With the GTF disbanded, the KGU turned its attention to the Junior Golf Foundation and summarily disbanded that body as well. In an unprecedented move, the KGU chairman, Parshu Hirani, has now asked prospective JGF chairmen to send in applications to the union, a good move indeed.

Away from the elite amateurs, the weekend golfers at club level continued to enjoy tremendous corporate sponsorship. According to the CEO of IMG Events and PR, Peter Maina, golf, a relatively small sport, continued to attract top-dollar sponsorship.

"In our estimates, golf, and especially amateur golf, continued to attract over Sh240 million," Maina said. "This monies go towards luxury merchandise for the golfers, food and wine, prizes and entertainment."

Top sponsorship billings continue to flow from the financial sectors with banks and insurance companies leading the way.

"Banks like CBA, EcoBank, Barclays Bank, Development Bank and CFC Bank are huge supporters of the game and then you have the insurance companies, UAP, Eagle, Kenya-Re, AON and Chartis who also support amateur golf tremendously," Maina added. "On the corporate golf scene, IBM set a new high at Karen this year and of course Microsoft continued to put on a great show at the same venue."

Amateur golf also continued to receive top golf series sponsorship including the South African Tourism Golf Series, NMG's Nation Classic, Mumias Golf Series, Zain BlackBerry Golf Challenge, the KCB Pro-Am and the recently launched Misitu Golf Challenge.

EABL were back in 2010 with the Tusker Malt Golf Carnival that sent the winners to a golfing week at various golf courses in the Limpopo Province of South Africa and the Dasani Golf Gala ended the year in style, hosting over 18 events around the country, hosting over 3,000 golfers from all 39 golf clubs across the country.

The winning team from the Eldoret Golf Club were treated to a VIP trip to the Coca-Cola Championship at the Fancourt Golf Resort where they had the pleasure of meeting the legendary Gary Player, one of the most successful golfers in the history of the game!

In Summary

  • There was plenty to celebrate for amateur golfers as the year comes to an end, but professional golfers still have some work to do

Events surrounding the golfing world in 2010 were as sizzling off the golf course as they were on the course.

For the Kenyan golfing fraternity, perhaps the highlight of the year was the victory of the men’s amateur team at the Africa Golf Championships in Botswana.

This was Kenya’s first victory in their 21-year appearances.

The team, led by KGU chairman Parshu Hirani and anchored by Kenya’s top amateur golfers, Stefan Andersen and Collins Omondi, demolished the South African opposition, writing history with this victory.

Kenya’s success at the Zone VI was, unfortunately, not replicated at the East Africa Golf Challenge in Kigali in November; Kenya tied defending champions Uganda on 17.5 points and consequently our Ugandan brothers kept the trophy.

Kenya also sent a team to the Eisenhower Trophy in Argentina in October, this was Kenya’s second visit to this top international event in 56 years!

Controversy in team selection

The trip to Argentina and the preceding “boot-camp” were supported by the GTF, led by Thika’s Davies Njoka and Royal’s Patrick Musimba.

“In our estimates, golf, and especially amateur golf, continued to attract over Sh240 million,” Maina said. “This monies go towards luxury merchandise for the golfers, food and wine, prizes and entertainment.”

Top sponsorship billings continue to flow from the financial sectors with banks and insurance companies leading the way.

“Banks like CBA, EcoBank, Barclays Bank, Development Bank and CFC Bank are huge supporters of the game and then you have the insurance companies, UAP, Eagle, Kenya-Re, AON and Chartis who also support amateur golf tremendously,” Maina added. “On the corporate golf scene, IBM set a new high at Karen this year and of course Microsoft continued to put on a great show at the same venue.”

Amateur golf also continued to receive top golf series sponsorship including the South African Tourism Golf Series, NMG’s Nation Classic, Mumias Golf Series, Zain BlackBerry Golf Challenge, the KCB Pro-Am and the recently launched Misitu Golf Challenge.

World football governing body Fifa has blown the first whistle to this year's football elections by naming an electoral board to undertake the process.
The board is made up of eight members and will be chaired by Nairobi advocate Joe Okwach.
Of significance is the fact that former international footballers have also been included in the board the first truly independent body to organise the polls.
Former AFC Leopards striker Joe Masiga and Gor Mahia midfielder Nahashon Lule will both serve on the board. Other members of the board are Maxwell Shamalla (vice-chairman), Mathew Kyalo, Ahmed Adan, Penina Wahome and Peter Ogonji (Chief Executive Officer).
While announcing the list of board members Fifa associations committee member Leodegar Tenga said they will among other things publish election guidelines, register eligible clubs and supervise the elections.
Of significance is the announcement that the board will also study the current Football Kenya statutes and recommend clauses that need to be amended in order to a allow for free and fair elections.
The Independent Electoral Board (IFB) will be required to come up with an electoral code which will spell out the criteria for who is a member club and qualification of candidates vying for different positions.
The code will also spell out the appeal process to be followed by prospective candidates not satisfied with any of its decisions.
The board has been given a four-month mandate within which to finish the electoral process. They have to have an office by Monday and have until January 23 to draft and adopt an electoral code.
The elections will begin at the sub-branch level between March 7 and 13 to be followed by the branch polls on March 28. The national polls will follow thereafter and have been proposed to be held between April 18 and 24.
Tenga also said that FKL would be required to transform itself back to an association once the electoral process is over.
"This will be first major assignment of the newly elected Executive Committee and upon completion of that process all other associations should be deregistered leaving Kenya with only one football association," Tenga, also Cecafa chairman said.
Tenga urged all football stakeholders to support the process because it is the only way to bring to an end the long-standing wrangles in local football. "Fifa urges all capable, qualified and committed Kenyans to seek positions in the up-coming elections and look at the documents particularly those seeking top positions to come up with campaign documents informing the public about their intended vision for Kenyan football," he added.
Maxwell Shamala the vice-chairman of the IEB promised that the process will be free and fair and promised that his board will do everything in a transparent manner.
Sports Minister Paul Otuoma who witnessed the unveiling of the board said the Government is fully behind the process and will avail all the necessary support to make it a success. "We are committed to have in place officials who are transparent and pass the test of integrity to run football," he said.

Fergie challenges his squad to show the 'bottle' needed to win a record 19th title

Alex Ferguson has challenged his players to show they have the bottle to deliver a record 19th Premier League title for Manchester United.
Ferguson's team go into another Christmas period leading a campaign characterised by the erratic form afflicting all the major contenders.
And the United manager believes that any club now capable of producing a killer burst of pace can run away with the top prize.
Ferguson said: "It's been such a strange League this year that if somebody had the bottle they could take it by the scruff of the neck. If somebody went on a winning run of about 10 games they'd win the League. We've done it in the past.

"We hope that we've cut out the stupid mistakes we were making earlier in the season.
"A lot of people said we weren't at top form but we'd had some good performances, though not of a consistent nature.
"I still think our performance at Everton was as good as we'd had in the last few years. We could have been six up but lost two goals at the end.
"That was interspersed with some ordinary football, like away to Sunderland. We need to start winning away from home."
Ferguson confronts his old boy Steve Bruce in the reverse fixture against Sunderland today intent on finding that winning momentum.
United remain undefeated in the League, yet are conscious of the danger posed by a posse of burgeoning clubs as well as the usual suspects.
Ferguson said: "It's a tough league now, probably the toughest Premier League I've known in terms of the condensing between the top and teams in the middle.
"You may say Sunderland and Bolton aren't going to last, but you look at their squads and they aren't actually old.
"There are points to be dropped in this league, even if you are playing well. What you try to do is take something from every game.
"We stole a point at Sunderland when we didn't really deserve anything."
Ferguson is anxious for his side to get back into their stride after the frustration of losing a second match to the weather at Chelsea last week.
"They obviously wanted the game off, though it wasn't their decision," he said.
"But do people not walk to shops and restaurants? What do they do, go on a broomstick? Or a magic carpet?
"Our pitch is perfect, so the game should be on unless we decide to call it off because there's a bit of snow on the pavement."
Ferguson, 69 on Friday and now United's longest serving manager, maintains his experience enables him to handle the modern player.
He said: "You are dealing with more fragile people because they've been brought up much softer, much easier than I was brought up.
"The players' behaviour off the pitch has changed. They are different animals now. Two things have created that.
"One, the money they are paid means they can't afford to have a different life. They have a dedication to the game. Two, very few foreign players drink.
"But the basics of management are the same. You have your standards and my discipline hasn't change a bit.
"And my training philosophy has not changed in terms of the workload they have."

1) How do you think your club's season has gone so far?
You don't need me to tell you that it's been poor. Very poor, in fact. I blame Roy.
2) What would be a good finish for your side in the league? Do you fancy your chances in the FA Cup?

I fear that the manager is more accepting of mediocrity than the majority of the *support, and would probably settle for a top-half finish. A good finish would be *somewhere in the European places, and it's not beyond us as things stand. I blame Roy.
3) Where would you like to strengthen your team in the January window and will it happen? Any particular players you'd like to see at your club?
I don't think that there will be any major strengthening of our squad in January – Comolli has not long come in to his role, and the new owners need time to assess the *direction they want us to go in. I'd expect player (and manager) replacements in the summer rather than January. I blame Roy.
4) Are you bothered that England failed to land the 2018 World Cup bid?
On a personal level, I would have loved to have seen a World Cup in this country, but I'm more worried about Qatar getting 2022 than I am about Russia 2018. I blame Roy.
5) Is there one big decision your club has to take or has taken? Will it make or break your season?
The decision to replace Rafa Benitez with Roy Hodgson. It appears to have already *broken our season. I blame Roy.

1) How has your club's season gone so far?
Very disappointing, but apart from one or two matches, we've actually played some really good football.
2) What would be a good finish for your side in the league? Do you fancy your chances in the FA Cup? Or League Cup (if you're still in)?

League – top six. FA Cup – we can win it (but could also go out in the third round!).
3) Where would you like to strengthen your team in the January window and will it happen? Any particular players you'd like to see at your club?
What's the point *speculating? David Moyes has got no money to spend, end of story. If we take a small fee for Steven *Pienaar rather than *waiting for the end of the season and letting him go for nothing, then I'd suggest Charlie Adam as a good punt in *January.
4) Are you bothered that England failed to land the 2018 World Cup bid?
Yes. By the time it comes around again, I'll be dead.
5) Is there one big decision your club has to take or has taken? Will it make or break your season?
I suppose the decision is: do we let Pienaar go in January and generate a fee, or wait until summer and have the use of him all season, but get no fee when he walks in May? A tricky one, this.
Is there a case for bringing Jack Rodwell into the side permanently? Is it better to give Bilyaletdinov more pitch time? I still think we'll have (as usual) a storming second half to the season and get a European place.

Bolton's season so far, a fan's view: 'The top 10 should be our aim, but we could maybe sneak a Europa League spot'

1) How has your club's *season gone so far?
Extremely well, I've been very impressed with the whole squad.
2) What would be a good finish for your side in the league? Do you fancy your chances in the FA Cup?

The top 10 should be our aim, but we could maybe sneak a Europa League spot. With York in the 3rd round of the FA Cup, who knows how far we could get?
3) Where would you like to strengthen your team in the January window and will it happen? Any particular players you'd like to see at your club?
A new centre back. With Gary Cahill and Zat Knight our main two players in that area, there doesn't seem much back-up, especially as Andy O'Brien looks like making his loan move to Leeds permanent.
4) Are you bothered that England failed to land the 2018 World Cup bid?
Of course, but our time will come – it's just a *matter of when.
5) Is there one big decision your club has to take or has taken? Will it make or break your season?
There is talk of *Johan Elmander and Cahill *going in January but I'm sure Mr Coyle has a decent contingency plan.

Wigan's season so far, a fan's view: 'Anything from 17th upwards would be a good finish'

1) How has your club's season gone so far?
Season has not gone too well so far, mainly because we can't seem to find the net in many of our games.

2) What would be a good finish for your side in the league? Do you fancy your chances in the FA Cup?
After the start to the season, anything from 17th upwards would be a good finish.

3) Where would you like to strengthen your team in the January window and will it happen?
Defence and certainly the attack. Boselli seems a waste of £6million so far.

4) Are you bothered that *England failed to land the 2018 World Cup bid?
Not particularly. It would have been nice to be the hosts but it seems FIFA has an *agenda against England.

5) Is there one big decision your club has to take or has taken? Will it make or break your season?
Whether or not to stick with the manager. His win record is about 25%, so if, by May, Wigan are *relegated, there will be a few saying: "Oh, we should have got rid at Christmas."
