Pamoja na vikao vya wanasiasa kukutana na kutoa matamko ya kuonyesha ushirikiano, ila bado Tanzania bado imenunia baadhi ya bidhaa za Uganda, miezi sita imepita sasa.

Sugar and edible oil originating from Uganda remain locked out of the Tanzanian market more than six months after a ministerial meeting held at the Mutukula border agreed to allow free movement of these products between the two countries.
This is one of the issues that will be up for discussion at a Tanzania-Uganda business forum to be launched in Dar es Salaam by Presidents Yoweri Museveni and John Pombe Magufuli on September 4.
Uganda, which is trying to increase its exports to the East African Community is looking to create a mutually beneficial relationship with Tanzania.

The reason they are hiding is because the edible oils from Uganda are produced by BUL(Bidco Uganda Limited) a subsidiary of the Kenyan Bidco Ltd. That is how low they have sank in their "Kenyaphobia". But as the adage goes "You can give a person knowledge, but you can't make them think. Some people want to remain fools only because the truth requires change."

Fvck off here, sugar and edible oil, is sugar also Kenyan? And aren't you blocking Tz gas from accessing Kenyan market.
Mkuki kwa nguruwe mtamu kwa binadam mchungu.

First, learn how to spell. Second, sugar is an excuse, the main target is edible oils because of BUL(Bidco Uganda Ltd). If you had a good business environment, probably Bidco would have built a factory in Tanzania, you can learn a thing or two from Uganda. What you fail to understand as Tanzania is that Bidco exports to 16 African countries in East Africa, Central Africa, and Southern Africa.

No we are not.
We are blocking LPG from Tanzania because Tanzania does not produce LPG.It comes from Zambia.
Edible oil from Uganda may be made by a subsidiary of a Kenyan company but it comes from palm oil trees grown in Uganda, processed by Ugandans, packaged by Ugandans and exported by Ugandans. As such, the product is fully, Ugandan.
There is nothing Tanzanian about the LPG.Most of the importers were actually Kenyans who saw opportunity from the gas flared off at Ndola but invested in processing facilities in Tanzania.
Given that the LPG is from a non-East African Community state, then it is subject to tariffs. We closed the COMESA loophole that was in place.
Now the edible oil from Uganda is still from the EAC.
With such behavior, you expect Ugandans to link their rail to yours???Loool!!Nope!!

From Zambia? Look at this fool, who told you, whoever told you, he lied, they coming from Lindi region, some are imported through port of Dsm. Nothing's is from and no Kenyans involved here, I forgot the name, but Tanzanian.
So, enda danganya wenzako.

Do you even know what "myopic" means? The only company in Uganda that makes edible oils for export is BUL. Tanzania in it's futile effort to fight Kenya, has basically targeted Kenya by blocking BUL products. As I have stated here before, Tanzania is a very insignificant market not just to Kenya but also to Bidco(Roughly 4%). The sugar is meant to provide an excuse that you are not targeting Kenya, but Uganda sugar companies also do not need the Tanzania market because Kakira exports a lot of sugar to Kenya and we are their largest market in east africa.

With neighbors like Tanzania, who needs enemies? A neighbor filled with vitriol, envy and jealousy all because her people are too lazy to compete with a country that does not have minerals or a high population like her's.
