did you read the last 2 paragraphs talking about Konza... I wish it was already up and running. .. that mall is the type of architecture that needs to be in Konza...
The Beacon marks the continuation of the work of All Design, which he founded in 2011. It joins a series of large-scale proposals for Nairobi, which has become a centre for Africa’s tech innovations.
Other recent proposals in the city includes a 30-storey wedge-shaped tower by Richard Keep and Henry Goss. Meanwhile, Manhattan-based firm SHoP Architect is overseeing the masterplan for the under-construction Konza Techno City.

Africa's Biggest Wind Farm Nears Transmission as Line Is Tested
A line to transport power from Africa’s biggest wind farm to market is complete and is being tested, according to its commissioner, Kenya Electricity Transmission Co. Ltd.
The 436-kilometer (271-mile) line from the Lake Turkana Wind Power plant will need end-to-end testing before it feeds 310 megawatts to the grid, Managing Director Fernandes Barasa said by phone from Kenya’s capital, Nairobi.
The 28 billion shilling ($278 million) project in Marsabit county, initially due for completion in October 2016, was delayed after the contractor was changed. Chinese firms NARI Group Corp. and PowerChina Guiyang Engineering Corp. Ltd. were later appointed for the project that’s supposed to be finished by Sept. 1.

Hii project ilishinda spanish firm kujenga kwa zaidi ya miaka miwili, imechukua wachina chini ya miezi minne kuimaliza, nasema apana cheza na wachina.
