Miss Kenya pageant winners are known for being positive representatives of our country on the international platform that is MISS WORLD but this is not always a given. Sometimes, you can’t help but cringe as you watch the finals hoping they don’t slip up at any point. The 2017 competition that happened Saturday night, luckily, was one that many Kenyans watched proudly. Magline Jeruto from Elgeyo Marakwet stole the hearts of many in Sanya, China and across the globe.

She was also crowned Miss Africa! Coincidentally, Magline does have an uncanny resemblance to award winning actress Lupita Nyong’o.
