I advice jF management to introduce Helpdeks subforum . Its seem that most thing people discus and bring in Technology are computer problem.

Back to your problem how do u rate your comptency in IT? there are three or four option depending on how good u are

Do a system restore to the date when it was ok
Do Fresh OS installation
Unistall any new program u have installed lately
Take you computer to a doctor. I mean a pc doctor/technician

I forgot one thing . Advise above aasume u have an updated and well functioning antivirus running on your PC
