Mwendeshaji wa kituo cha kulelea watoto Kiambu afikishwa mahakamani kwa kutumia watoto kutengeneza video za ngono
Mwanamke anayesimamia kituo cha kulelea watoto katika Soko la Wangige, Kaunti ya Kiambu, amekamatwa kwa tuhuma za kuwadhulumu kingono watoto wadogo. Kulingana na nyaraka za mahakama, kituo hicho kinachoendeshwa na Teresia Wambui Kihagi kwa miaka mitatu kimekuwa na zaidi ya watoto 10, ambao wote wanaaminika kuwa waathirika wa vitendo hivyo vya kikatili.
Alipofikishwa mahakamani Jumanne, mahakama iliambiwa kwamba simu ya Kihagi ilichukuliwa wakati alipokuwa akijaribu kuharibu ushahidi kwa kuivunja, lakini sasa ushahidi huo utaopolewa na kuchakatwa ili kutumika mahakamani.
"Nyaraka za mahakama zinaeleza kuwa mtuhumiwa amekuwa akiwahusisha watoto wenye umri kati ya miaka miwili na minne katika vitendo vya ngono, akiwagusa sehemu za siri na kurekodi video za vitendo hivyo akiwa katika kituo hicho cha kulelea watoto," ilisema sehemu ya nyaraka za mahakama.
Afisa mpelelezi Nicodemus Musembi alisema uchunguzi utafanywa kwenye namba za simu za mtuhumiwa ili kubaini walengwa wa video hizo na pia kuangalia kwa undani matumizi ya Paybill ya Equity iliyotumiwa na kituo chake.
Musembi aliendelea kusema kuwa kuchukua taarifa kutoka kwa wazazi waathirika haikuwezekana na uchunguzi utafanywa kupitia kwa mpatanishi.
Kwa hivyo, aliomba mtuhumiwa azuiliwe kwa siku 21 ili kutoa nafasi ya uchunguzi zaidi, huku akiendelea kufanyiwa uchunguzi wa afya ya akili.
Wakati huo huo, waathirika wamepelekwa kwenye vituo mbalimbali vya afya kwa uchunguzi wa kimatibabu.
Kiambu daycare operator arraigned for exploiting children to make sexual videos
A woman running a daycare in Wangige Market, Kiambu County has been arrested after being accused of sexually exploiting minors.
According to court documents, Teresia Wambui Kihagi's three-year-old daycare had been with more than 10 minors, who are all believed to be victims of her heinous acts.
While being arraigned on Tuesday, the court heard that Kihagi's phone was confiscated while she was trying to crush in an attempt to destroy the evidence which is set to be retrieved and processed to be used in court.
"The respondent is alleged to have been engaging the minors who are aged between two and four years in sexual activities, and touching their genitals while recording of them while on the act in the said day care," reads a court document in part.
Investigating officer Nicodemus Musembi said that a probe will be conducted on her phone numbers to establish the recipients of the videos and also scrutinise the Equity paybill her daycare has been using.
Musembi further told the court that recording statements from affected parents has been unfeasible and can only aid in investigations through an intermediary.
He therefore asked the suspect to be detained for 21 days to pave the way for further investigations as she undergoes a mental assessment test.
Meanwhile, the victims have been taken to different health facilities for medical examination.
