"Mtoto wa Rais Moi alimbaka na kumuua mwanangu."... John Ward

Mkuu, Biwot is untouchable like Elliot Ness, regardless of who is in power. remember the attempted rape of a chamber maid at a hotel in Auckland? the man walked Scott free, his intelligence, affluence and power has rendered him an untouchable in the present, past and possibly future regimes. I don't support what he did, am just being a realist here, he will meet his death before he is charged or full indicted in any of the crimes he committed.
Hapa naona Biwott yupo juu ya hata katiba yenu mpya, sasa ya kazi gani?Una uhakika na unayoyasema?

mmmh aisee hiyo ni ishu kwani huyo mwanamke alikuwa nani may be some one to give us her history

Its sad but true, the system is gradually changing but the old guards are still greedily protecting their own. Thanks to the constitution (of which they were all against), they MIGHT be arraigned in court if enough evidence is gathered against them, you should remember that most if not all of the people who were supposed to testify against Biwot in the Ouko murder have ''mysteriously'' disappeared or died unnatural deaths.. thats the type of people we are dealing with, arraigning those people in court and making the charges against them stick is harder than you think. a case with a long line of dead witnesses is not easy to solve, we all know who did it, but who will point fingers? who will stand in court and testify against Biwot or Moi? thats the real world

Duh!Hiyo ni kama bongo tu, some similar stuff just recently happened, a poisoned deputy minister, and a secretary who poisoned him died unnatural death, ila hiyo ya wakenya ni ya kimafioso kabisa!Maana hata Scotland Yard si walifanya uchunguzi?

Hiyo ndio ile ......NCHI YA KITU KIDOOOOGO............NCHI YA WATU WADOOOOGO............ sio Julie tu aliyekumbwa na masahibu hata Tom Mboya na Robert Ouko.

Smatta,

Your take on Biwott is spot on. When I was crisscrossing Kenya during my vacation last year I was
suprised to see how this man is still thriving in the economic cirlces of the Kenya Elite. Jamaa bado
amemiliki Yaya Center and all that comes with it. Kisha zile dili za simu sijui ni mobitelea pia jamaa
alikula pande humo ndani.

Add to his economic might, the fact that he is also married to an Israeli woman alongside the other
Kale woman. We know Jews will always protect their own and the fact that this woman was married
to one of the most powerful men in Kenya those days had a lot of bearing. Kisha the Kale wife nasikia
ni ODM damu!...sasa even if ODM came to power, will they touch Biwott?

My opinion is to go after these guys financially and bankrupt them one way or another till they fall from
their might. First off Moi should move out of Kabarak and go to his own land. He should also be come
before the Truth Justice and Reconciliation commitee to spill the beans...this is an offer he cant decline.
It has happened in the worst of crimes like the Apartheid era and people from both sides came forth and
spoke their part...a major ingredient of the healing process. With all the money he has he should compensate
the victims as a substitute for jail time. When the high and mighty are relieved of their ill aquired gains, the
become so vulnerable even unto themselves!

That is my 50 cents.

Wenye taarifa tukumbushane...

Kenya: Ouko Shot in State House

Nairobi - A parliamentary report yesterday revealed that former Foreign Affairs Minister Dr Robert Ouko was killed inside State House Nakuru in 1990 before being dumped at Got Alila where his charred remains were discovered.

"At State House Nakuru Dr Ouko was bundled into one of the rooms where he was killed allegedly in the presence of among others Hon K.N.K Biwott," states the report.

Speaking through an aide, Biwott said he can only comment when he reads the content of the parliamentary report. According to the aide, Biwott was in Eldoret and was due to fly back to Nairobi yesterday evening.

The Parliamentary Select Committee investigating the death of Ouko sat in 2005 chaired by Gor Sunguh. Its report was officially tabled yesterday in Parliament for the first time by Imenti Central MP Gitobu Imanyara.

The report recommends that the bodies of the former powerful Internal Security Permanent Secretary Hezekiah Oyugi, former Police Commissioner Philip Kilonzo, former Nyanza PC Julius Kobia and several others be exhumed to ascertain the causes of their mysterious deaths in the years after Ouko's murder.

State House Nakuru was a favourite retreat for retired President Moi to celebrate New Year during his 24 years in power.

The report also claims that Biwott, former MP for Keyio South, was present at the late minister's Koru home when he was "violently abducted" in a white car in the early hours of February 13, 1990 according to gatekeeper Philip Rodi Ogutu.

"A short fat, black man was standing at the veranda of Dr Ouko's house hiding behind a pillar, the description of the man who stood behind the pillar at the veranda fitted Nicholas Biwott. He did not mention him in his statements due to fear," the PSC report states.

When he testified to the committee, Biwott denied that he had been at Ouko's house when he was abducted.

The reports also claimed that the late Oyugi, the late Kobia, former Nakuru DC Jonah Anguka, Nairobi businessman James Onyango Koyoo and Ouko's lawyer George Oraro, were present that night along with various others including a group of 20 unnamed former General Service Unit officers from a camp in Molo.

The report will for the first time give Kenyans an insight into the details of the 20 year old unsolved murder mystery.
Imanyara also placed a notice of a motion but it is not known if the House Business Committee will schedule debate on the report before Parliament goes on recess next week.

After Ouko's charred remains were found by a herdboy at Got Alila in Kisumu on February 16, 1990, violent protests erupted across Kenya and government swiftly arrested Biwott, then Minister for Energy, along with Oyugi, Kobia, Anguka, Koyoo, and city lawyer George Oraro among others.

The report of the committee chaired by former Kisumu Town West Gor Sunguh recommends that Biwott, Koyoo, Oraro and several others be investigated over the murder.

According to the report, Biwott gave conflicting, contradicting and questionable evidence with uncorroborated documents.
The report claims that Biwott, now leader of the National Vision Party, tabled fake documents to clear himself.

MPs questioned the authenticity of a passenger manifest, extracts of a diary of the former US President, and some photographs presented by Biwott.

"In one of the photograph at a function in Washington Mr Biwott identified one of the persons as Mr James Baker when in reality he was a World Bank official," the committee highlights.

Biwott said that he sat next to Ouko on a trip to the United States on January 27 but the departure stamp on his passport tabled before the committee indicated that he traveled on January 25.

Biwott told the committee that Ouko was his best friend and therefore he could not have hurt him.

The former minister told the committee that Ouko and former President Moi did not address a press conference in the US but a video record found by the committee proved that they did.

The report recommends that everyone in the delegation of former President Moi to Washington DC should be investigated. If it is adopted, today's government will be bound to do so.
