A teacher in Migori committed suicide on Monday over what is said to be his wife's mismanagement of the family business.
Kevin Otieno, a 30-year-old who worked at Sagero Primary School, hanged himself at his house in Onyalo state.
Otieno's mother Jane Akoth said he had accused his wife Sarah Anyango of running down the family business despite his efforts to service loans.
“He was still alive...we tried to rush him to hospital but he died shortly after."
Suna Central chief Steve Ouma said the body was taken to St Joseph Mission Hospital mortuary.
On August 13, an unidentified middle-aged man committed suicide by hanging himself from a tree along Moi Avenue in the Nairobi CBD.
The reason was not established as a suicide note was not found.
