Idiot as usual.to learn from a bogus project that wastes a corridor of +27 km on just a toll highway to nowhere! Idiot, i don't wanna learn utopolo! Those poles could be put in a manner a corridor of at least 2 lanes for BRT buses! Ila mamburura hamjafikiria hilo!
Misinformed [emoji1787][emoji23] I read wivu here.Kaka hapa you are missing a point,
Honestly, decent trains and Brt was better idea than the stupid overpriced chinese owned expressway.
Go advise Magufuli you propagandist. Unaumwa it is being built in Kenya ama?., Haven't you noticed none of your CCM's development project is geared towards poverty eradication?[emoji848], but just CCM's propaganda tool to hoodwink idiots like you and condemn you to more poverty as the wealthy fly higher?.,Halafu wanajenga kiboya bila ku-economize space chini ya hii highway kama wangekuwa na maono wangemwambia mchina aache upana wa kutosha 2 lanes za BRT katikati ya nguzo na nguzo, Ila wapii! Mamburura walikosa akili hiyo!
Next time get the genesis of why the expressway was elevated, not for beauty or mere facelift of Nairobi. And also why there is no room to leave space in the middle. Initially during the coalition govt of Raila and Kibaki, a plan was hatched to build a superhighway like Thika road, which meant a lot of buildings and crucial business were earmarked for demolition. KTN, Sameer Africa, Panari Sky, several industries past airport and godowns etc, many were going down. Then Raila Odinga suggested instead of destroying such businesses and developments which will dent the economy why not build an alevated road within the available space on Mombasa road. And that is why we have a construction of an elevated expressway. Another point PPP model was introduced as it releaves the treasury of the burden of paying loans saving more money that can be committed to other internal needs and developmental projects as opposed to direct loans, also revenue for the national budget won't be affected by cuts to repay loans. Huu mkondo naona nchi nyingi zikifuata.First of all this is not a battle just an idea. Hopefully we call all contribute, share and learn from one another.
Okay, frankly I am not very fond of the toll roads being done in Kenya.
The idea of investors building the express roads is very good. Just not what they are building.
At minimum a person will need to pay Ksh 100 (more than TSh 2,000 like Kigamboni Bridge ) everytime they use the road. People will have to pay that to upto 30 years. That is a very very long time.
I think express roads does not help the majority of people like how BRT or cummuter train would.
Yes you gonna have awesome roads.
I think the government should have used the same idea to build commuter train rather than toll roads. You can even have BRT under it. Where BRT would stop every station but train not.
A city like Dar es Salaam and Dodoma for example, where the Government have planned to have commuter trains should consider this.
Kama barabara tu zina flood, tuna weka matuta for speed limit na kuzuia ajali, tutaweza on the ground and underground ltrains?
Nadhani nchi kama Tanzania ikichukua Kenya idea ya investor kujenga elevated express roads in return for toll fees, should build commuter train.
Yes, it's gonna cost more, but it will be worth it hata kama wata chukua fare for 30 years.

What is your opinion on the matter?
Kimsingi mchina atataka kuona foleni inaongezeka Nairobi na hakuna any project ili wajazane kwenye expressway apige pesa nyingi for the next 30yrs.
Your post just seems to be in denial of the screw up. Trying to make it's looks like it was ingineous plan.Next time get the genesis of why the expressway was elevated, not for beauty or mere facelift of Nairobi. Ya Kenya hamtoyaweza, if u cannot read propaganda in your govt projects then you have no point to even think about Kenya's. My two cents.
Isome, itakupa routes zote. Then go kwenye website ya NaMATA you also find the timetable for those routes.Hyo link imekwambia hayo mabasi yamepelekwa route gani hyo na yamenenunuliwa lini tena kutoka wapi
That road is a highway! The northern corridor straight from Mombasa to Kampala, thus has heavy traffic, expansion was inevitable, plan ya rail iko kivyake, kwani ni lazima rail ijengwe pale?., Hii expressway imetesa sana watanzania, u are a hypocrite in posting this thread now I see.Your post just seems to be in denial of the screw up. The same space used for express road could be used for SGR. No building needs to be demolished. I don't even know why you felt the need to mention that. It's absolutely errelevant on this post.
The same space the same roads could be used for SGR. And instead of having an express road for only those who can afford it, you could have an SGR for everyone and solve congestion problem as the same time, for those who would still want to use their private car.
Looks like you are panicking. It's not a battle, just honest discussion.
Came on men. It's just a common sense. Clearly looks like you are taking personal and you are ready to defend Kenya no matter what. Which is good sometimes. That road is a highway! Then go kwenye website ya NaMATA you also find the timetable for those routes.

But this is a discussion. Given the opportunity, I am sure Tanzania would have build the same thing (express road). Which in my opinion is not a great option.
What I am saying, shouldn't SGR be a better option that express way.
The road iko sahihi kujengwa pale, basing on prevailing factors and physical condition along the route. Rail system is being worked on not as an alternative to the expressway but a compliment and addition to it. Understand transport plan ya Nairobi and Kenya at large, it is unique and different from Tanzanian. However I read mischief in this thread already, Kama kawaida yenyu, and am not defending Kenya but presenting the clear picture.Came on men. It's just a common sense.
