JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide comprehensive maternal and child services to mothers during and after pregnancy, including managing complications and referring high risk pregnancies
- Responsible for delivering babies, preparing birth attestation and monitoring the general health condition of the mother and the newborn
- Assessing the feasibility for referral of pregnant women form the TBAs to the OPD/MCH for medical evaluation and/or complicated deliveries.
- Provide counselling to mothers on pregnancy and post-pregnancy management, including proper breastfeeding techniques, bathing and preparation of bottles
- Participate in PHC activities including health education, family planning, preparing for childbirth, HCT services and nutrition programs, as well as PMTCT activities at the health facility and within the community
- Provide primary care to women of reproductive age in accordance with the Basic Package of Health Services

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Dispenses medication to patients according to medical prescription, ensuring the medication is labeled with the correct drug name, strength, quantity, expiry date, directions for use and additional required information and providing clear instructions and advice on how to take the drug, when, how long, how to store, possible side-effects and any other relevant warnings. Making sure the patient understands in order to ensure correct treatment.
- Adhering to Medical Teams International’s practice policies and procedures for dispensing medicines, in particular those relating to controlled drugs and ensuring respect of confidentiality in dispensing
- Placing accurate and timely orders with the central stock, maintaining minimum stock levels of medicines, checking expiry dates and storage conditions and ensuring no medicines or material are taken out of the dispensary without authorization
- Maintaining accurate dispensing records and regularly reporting them to his/her technical reference. Ensuring returned and out-of-date medication is safely removed to a well designated quarantine zone for unwanted pharmaceuticals, separated from the normal stock
- Organizing and keeping clean the dispensing area, ensuring cleanliness and care in handling medicines to avoid contamination and mix-up. Maintaining dispensary equipment, ensuring it is clean, accurate and in a good state of repair.
- Maintaining the integrity and security of the dispensary by admitting only authorized personnel and ensuring that all medicines are stored as appropriate. Reporting immediately to the technical reference Updated November 2019 on any problem arising in the service (especially loss, robbery, quality problems with medicine (abnormal changes in color, consistency, and odor) damage of medical equipment or medicines).
- Carrying out Patient Therapeutic Education (PTE) and interacting with patient using a patient-based approach to accompany chronic disease (HIV, TB, etc.) patients along their visits. Receiving patients, informing about treatment and adherence, giving appointment for the next drug delivery. Informing the medical doctor in case of lack of adherence and identifying the reasons and finding solutions to improve adherence.
- Understanding, recording and informing on any complaint received from patients related to medicine use or side effects.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for ensuring all programs comply with MTI, MOH and donor requirements; ensure that staff adhere to all MTI policies, Code of Conduct and ethical standards
- Collaborate with Director of Programs to develop the budget; responsible for monitoring financial performance of programs to ensure project objectives are achieved within allocated resources analyse budget in Unit 4 ERP system and raise budgetary challenges to supervisor or Finance team

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensure nutrition clinics and community outreach activities are carried out as per facility work plans with emphasis on integration with medical services; Ensure duty rosters are appropriately developed and approved by respective In-Charge
- Ensure malnutrition case screening and growth monitoring is carried out and appropriate corrective actions implemented
- Documents management records on activities under nutrition services; Consolidate data from Nutritionists to prepare reports as per schedule and make data-driven program decisions
- Participate in research activities that contribute to improving community health
- Build capacity of inpatients and caregivers by advising on proper care and nutrition at home
- Carry out home visits to follow up on discharged patients to ensure adherence to advice
- Ensure the security of food and related nutrition supplies, including taking precautions to avoid contamination
- Ensure the kitchen and surrounding environment is hygienic and well maintained
- Ensure that nutrition practices are conducted with the highest level of integrity and ethics according to professional and MTI Code of Conduct
- Ensure direct reports have clear objectives, receive mentor-ship and participate in capacity building opportunities
- Conduct performance evaluations and enforce disciplinary procedures as per MTI policy
- Support safeguarding of program participants and employees through promoting an environment of awareness and upholding the code of conduct provisions of Medical Teams Protection from Sexual Exploitation & Abuse, Child & Vulnerable Adult protection, and harassment-free workplace policies.
- Other duties as assigned
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Nutrition, Dietetics or related field is required
- Minimum 2 years of nutrition field experience with a busy project implementing IMAM is required
- Experience in clinical medicine or community health is an added advantage
- Experience working in emergency operations is an added advantage
KNOWLEDGE
- In-depth knowledge of nutrition principles and management of acute malnutrition
- Skilled in coordinating staff and community members to deliver health education sessions and nutritional screening activities
- Skilled in conducting nutritional assessments and managing cases
- Skilled in presenting complex information at an appropriate level to an individual or group
- Skilled in using behavior change strategies to mobilize community members to take ownership of healthcare needs
- Skilled in data analysis and report writing
- Skilled at using Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
- A good command of both written and spoken English
- Keen desire to build capacity of staff
- Ability to be flexible and manage stress, especially in situations which require a high degree of diplomacy
- Ability to maintain detailed records with high accuracy

Job Summary
Responsible for providing a comprehensive nursing package that includes preventive, curative and public health education services. Ensure quality of care in line with Medical Officers and Clinical Officers prescriptions, medical protocols and universal hygiene standards.
Job Description

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide nursing services including observation, diagnosis and treatment in consultation with the Clinical Officer
- Maintain personal contact with patients, take note of their complaints, carry out corrective measure and escalate for further action if necessary and participate in health education of the patient (and family) when necessary
- Ensure patients are properly received and installed and that those with lack of autonomy are assisted, especially regarding their feeding, personal hygiene, movements and comfort. For ER and OPD nurse, ensuring triage of patients in waiting areas, wards or during emergencies, detecting the priority acute/emergency cases, carrying out first aid care and referring them to the doctor when necessary
- Ensure patients are comfortable and in a healthy and secure environment to enhance quick recovery
- Assist with ward rounds to complete paperwork required for admission and discharging of patients
- Dispense medication according to prescription, ensuring correct labelling and directions; Ensure patient understands how to take medicine by providing clear instructions
- Participate in PHC activities including health education, MCH activities and nutrition programs
- Carry out family planning, PMTCT and HCT services both at the health facility and within the community
- Monitor the consumption of drugs and equipment required for nursing activities and notify supervisor of re-stocking needs
- Ensure biomedical equipment is in good working order by using in accordance with user manual and protocols, perform cleaning and minor maintenance and alert supervisor in case of malfunctioning
- Ensure hygiene and sterilization criteria, including universal precautions, are met
- Ensure data collected is accurate and submit reports according to schedule
- Ensure that medical practices are conducted with the highest level of integrity and ethics according to professional and MTI Code of Conduct
- Ensure the Safeguarding of program participants and employees through promoting an environment of

- Diploma in Comprehensive Nursing is required
- Registration with Nurses and Midwives Council is required
- Valid practicing license is required
- 2 years of nursing experience is required
- Experience working with international NGOs is an added advantage
KNOWLEDGE
- Knowledge of professional nursing principles, procedures and techniques
- Knowledge of medical and non-medical waste disposal procedures
- Knowledge of hygiene management and IPC protocol
- Skilled in applying professional nursing care principles and procedures in the evaluation and treatment of patients
