Nairobi Commuter Rail Phase 1 Progress

Nairobi Commuter Rail Phase 1 Progress

Nionyeshe cities Buda. Acha kelele. Ziko wapi? Alafu unionyeshe hiyo data yako ya UNDP. Acha kutoa data kwa matako ukidanganyia UNDP.
Data yenye nilisoma afew years back said that Kenya's urbanisation rate was at 25%. That was almost five years ago. So by now lazima iwe imeongezeka.

Obviously I believe urbanisation rate in Kenya is much higher than 25%. I don't think official statistics do a good job of collecting this type of data. Anyway the most recent world bank statistics put Kenya's urbanisation rate at 28% and Tanzania's at 35%. I am just trying to provide data from World bank. I am not saying the data is 100% accurate.

REPORT FRAUD OR CORRUPTION

Looking at this world bank data it is apparent that Kenya has one of the lowest urbanisation rates in the World. Even lower than failed states and other poorer countries. However the fact that alot of Kenyans live in rural areas does not mean that those Kenyans are poorer. Farmers can be wealthy and own animals and land. They can still educate their kids and so on. Somalia has an urbanisation rate of 46% which is almost double that of Kenya but an average Somalian is much much poorer than an average Kenyan. This just means that most Somalians live in an urban area but it does not mean that they are employed or that they earn good money. So rate of urbanisation does not always correlate with wealth of citizens or income per capita.
So living in rural areas is not bad as long as you are earning more income than the poor people living in urban areas.
Infact more Tanzanians may be living in urban areas than Kenyans but an average Kenyan earns more money than an average Tanzanian. As an economist, it is my duty to put these statistics in context. High urbanisation rate is not necessarily equal to high income per capita.

Thus y many Kenyans live in slums [emoji2][emoji2][emoji2][emoji2]

Hahahaha, just you want to find way to please yourself. Urbanization is the stage of development and economic growth, don't take just few atypical countries to support your argument.

All those countries "failed states", urbanization is mainly driven by security reasons not economic, majority of people tend to move to urban areas where security is much better.

But generally if there is no other reasons behind, urbanization is very good indicator of economic development and modern economy and better standard of living. It is in urban areas where you find better houses, Hospitals, schools, safe water, job opportunities and security. Unfortunately Kenyans use money as indicator of everything, you think having much money is development even if the person with too much money lives in Kibera.

It is the process of getting there. The higher the percentage of urbanization the country has, the closer is the country to be a developed country[emoji23][emoji23][emoji23][emoji23][emoji23]
What is urbanization? It seems you don't know what urbanization is [emoji23][emoji23][emoji1787]

Wewe nguruwe urbanization doesn't mean development or economic growth. Urbanization is just rural-urban migration and nothing else, anyway I understand you cause you dropped out of school in class six so you can't know the what urbanization is.[emoji23][emoji23][emoji23]

Lakini sasa hivi unataka kuikumbatia World bank kwa sababu inasema kuwa Tanzania ina a higher urbanisation rate than Kenya? Unaichukia World bank inaposema kuwa Kenya ina higher electrification rate lakini unaipenda World bank inaposema kuwa Kenya ina lower urbanisation rate? Uko very confused, hypocritical and unserious.
joto la jiwe mbona nyinyi Watanzania huwa hampo serious? Mbona mlikuwa mnapinga World bank iliposema kuwa Kenya ina higher electrification rate than Tanzania halafu saa hii mnafurahia sana wakati World bank inaposema kuwa Tanzania ina higher urbanisation rate? Mtawacha huu unafiki lini? Kuweni serious wakati mwingine. Sio kila wakati ni wakati wa mchezo. Hamuwezi kuchagua data gani ya World bank mnapenda na gani hampendi. Either mkubali data zote za World bank au mzikatae zote.

In economics we use income per capita to gauge level of development. Hio ndio maana World bank inatumia GNI per capita kurank countries from poorest to richest. Usipingane tu for the sake of kupingana. Hadi unaanza kusema uongo kuwa income per person (capita) sio muhimu. Halafu unasema kuwa "Kenyans use money as an indicator of everything" lakini mimi nazungumzia World bank wenyewe wanasema kuwa Mkenya mmoja ana earn more income than Mtanzania mmoja.

Hapa Kenya thousands of students wamesoma economics since Independence.

Urban population is more developed and has higher and better standard of living than rural population, hii ni kutokana na ukweli kwamba in urban ndiko kwenye kupatikana kwa huduma bora za kijamii.

Tatizo wakenya mnadhani money is everything.
