Congrats for getting a big freeze and sharing the pictures. This current phenomena of snowing in the Highlands of Kenya is it to do with climate change or just a natural circle of events in many years. Rumuruti, Laikipia County elevation 5,997 ft (1,828 metres)

i think it may have to do with climate change although areas of nyahururu experience cold weather i think two years ago there was also the same kind of weather

Dah,kweli Kenya umetembea papalai!Hayo mabasi ya Mararal Safaris niliyatumia sana nikiwa pale Rumuruti.Round zake ni Maralal-Rumuruti-Nai kupitia route ya Nyahururu kama ulivoona kwenye picha.Maralal hamna snow wala nini!Watu wa kuvaa shuka kwao baridi ni adui nambar wan.Wasichana wa kisamburu aisee,we acha tu.Wasamburu wanaongea kimaasai cha ajabu ajabu.Wanaamkuana eti 'serian nage?'Ukisema 'logonyai' kwao utakuwa unamaanisha akili yangu na si kichwa changu!

Nyahururu ndio home, na kushawahi kua natukio kama hilo mwaka 2000 ni kijana mdogo, ambapo kulinyesha barafu kwa siku nzima na badae ilichukua siku nne kukauka. Kwa maoni yangu hayo matukio hutokea sababu eneo hilo ni Highlands na mstali wa equiter umepitia maeneo yale

That's not even on the peak side nafikiri kutoka hapo mpaka Summit ni more than 29klm

Kilimanjaro kuanzia middle lower mountain inanyeesha snow fall kabisa kama Antarctica sio kama barafu imeganda wanaiita kichele and that's regular tradition not occasionally

I have been there several times

It is very typical weather for that part of Kenya, nothing to do with climate change. The reverse would be attributed to climate change i.e no hail or snow. Rumuruti is too low in altitude for this kind of weather to occur, i stand to be corrected.

Nyahururu is an Highland not a mountain.... Ujinga tuache pliz
