Around 12yrs ago I was sure Addis was going to rule the skyscrapers in the region but they find of fell off. Hopefully with the steady opening up of the economy they'll get to their rightful place in the region.

addis does not have a defined downtown like nairobi or zoned suburbs & estates like nairobi ,the scrapers are nice but without planning, a city is just concrete jungle,addis does not even start to compare with harare which has not seen infrastructure development since 90s,same way you can,t compare london with paris despite london having more shiny and sleek scrapers than paris,there are cities in africa that will surprise you like abidjan which is a well planned and zoned city,i find it to be the most developed city in west africa but we just here of lagos
