What kind of friendly 'pioneer' survey includes surveying your ocean economic zone of how you ocean topography looks like, ocean currents, where most fish are located, potential mineral sites..etc if it was being done by an indian commercial ship it would be fine, but a navy ship!? That's a little bit suspicious... Anytime the want to invade a country within the region they will know exactly which route to use without having to use sonar,radar making sure they can do it completely undetected by any country's radar

I bet Kenya has not been surveyed!

You know what happens when you bet against Kenya, you will only end up disappointing yourself. So far mv.mtafiti has only conducted 3 survey voyages of avg 15day trips between kiunga and kilifi. Once the faster and newer mv.Doria arrives, the process will go much quicker and survey all our maritime zone.

The process is not a cheap one though, the ships burn 3.5tonnes of fuel per day, it costs 30 million shillings just for one 15 day survey voyage .

But the returns that will come after the survey is done will be worth it

Google Mv.Doria utaona kitu kipya sayii kinafanyiwa sea trials somewhere in the indian ocean.

It was already handed over in june this year from bangladesh shipbuilding yard.

Look at the top right you will see 'Doria'

Now all is left after the sea trials is to add the helicopter fully equipped with all the advance tech , and an additional gun just in case the ship has to defend itself
