After the conference finals Timmy was quoted as saying they wanted El Heat again in the finals.
And we all saw what happened. In five the Spurs took out the Heat in dominating fashion and set (I believe) the record for the largest win margins in NBA finals history.
Actually the Heat were lucky to escape a sweep. SA wanted to make a statement and they made it with roaring success.
They played with a chip on their shoulder from the 2012-13 season when they snatched defeat from the jaws of victory where they were 20 some seconds from winning the championship.
And just an FYI, the Heat were not neophytes either. They had plenty of players in their roster who had championship experience and rings.
So to compare New Orlean's situation vs San Antonio's is a bit misguided.
