NBA Season 2015 - 2016: Special thread

The KING sasa analialia eti wamletee Wiggins... Sijawahi kumsikia Curry akilia wamletee wa kumsaidia..

Mwaka jana The King baada ya kuona katimu chake kanaweza ishia fifth seed akalia lia wamletee JR Smith teh teh Zee la kulia lia
Are you comparing The King of NBA na Curry?Curry kacheza vizuri just for two seasons but The King has been there for decade dude!

King all the way!

I didn’t know if there is such a stats in the league!! “the attention you draw from opposing players(curry draws the most attention right now” So, what is Curry’s lead on this? How many times he has drawn attention from opposing players? What is his percentage in drawing attention from opposing players? Can you even get stats on such a thing? I’m even laughing while writing such a question! It is baloney!
to you, going to stat sheets and pass through them is all what summarises your analytical skills....
endelea kukomaa tu na stats wakati the game keeps on evolving..some basketball elements are most diffucult to capture in any quantitative sense..That doesnt take away the impact they come with.

What a minute! So, what happens when he is double/triple teamed? Does he get double/triple teamed while handling ball? Or while he has no ball?
such questions tell me a lot about you...You dont watch GSW quite often...dont let your anger mature into bitterness(2015 final's impact).....YOU WILL NEVER APPRECIATE GREATNESS
So, let me assume you meant while he handles the ball:
STOP ASSUMING AND START WATCHING WARRIORS BASKETBALL...You you will get to know what I mean..

That is, I don’t know if I really understood you from the practical point of view.
as long long as you appreciate greatness and Curry`s impact to the game of basketball in general, you will never understand me...
Why do I think he does not assist enough? It is not a matter of thinking, it is factual bro.
Gary Payton is a hof, an elite PG in his Prime..infact he is top 10 all time in assists..But do you know he only averaged 6.7 careerwise, less than the man you hate Curry, whose career average in assist is 6.9 so far .What can you say about that?

If he is being double/triple teamed as you have said, he should then be up there in the assists leading board. Actually, what you have said, raises a lot of questions about Curry’s reading of the game. If what you have said is TRUE, then he can’t read the game. Even a D-league PG would take advantage of being double/triple teamed by making ridiculous assists to his teammates, who are literally unguarded.
do not overlook Curry's passing ability simply because he shoots so efficiently from anywhere on the court..That is something no other Pg,past and present had done...Since he can pull the dagger from anywhere that doesnt take away the PG SKILLS he posses.A slight decline in APG is justifiable..
By the way, the best point guard and player in the league is supposed to be up there, isn't he?
A best PG and a Player is the one who does all his best to help his team win...and ultimately take the ''Larry O'Brien''....Individual stats should just be a result of making your team better...You saw what happened to Russel Westbrook and THe OKC Last year. That's why I always have utmost respect for the Spurs Organization. They deserve everything they have achieved, because individual stats come second..

Besides, did you look the links that I attached? Did you find any great PG in the league below top 10?
oh yes...TONY PARKER...And he is 5.9 APG Careerwise....He still can ball and whoop any one`s @$$..including my GSW(i always appreciate greatness)

All the best PGs in the game right now are up there.
my conclusion:You are more into individual stats than team's stat and performance....There is no point of Averaging 10plus Assists and still failing to get a playoff spot....
give me an honest answer on this qstn...
If any of those PGs had better shots than Curry, how would he average in assist?....What is the objective of making an assist if you can score?.....he is a pg and does exceptionally better than his peers in executing shots.

And if you look again the list, you can see that with exception of D. Green and J. Harden, all the rest in the top 10 are actually PGs.
6.4 APG is a descent number, you can deal with it...

Giving assists, that what a PG is all about.
a base for your ''conservative'' thoughts..this is 2016......................not 1970s.....

Sijacompare yeyote... Kwanza mimi ligi za comparison siziwezi..

Hapo nakwambia tu though Lebron is playing in East (weak conference) lakini bado analia lia mwenzake akicheza chini ya kiwango na si kumtia moyo.. Curry is way different from that, kuna wakati wenzake wanamwangusha ila yeye anaamka na kuibeba timu..

Huyo jamaa wala hajui GSW wanavyocheza... Hajui hata Role ya Point Guard wa GSW anavyocheza... Hawa ni ambao hata kwenye mpira wanakariri namba 9 pekee ndiye awe mfungaji (Old Football), hawajiulizi kwanini sikuhizi mambo yamekuwa tofauti paka Wingers kama Ronaldo ndio wanakuwa wafungaji bora.. Zamani haikuwa hivyo...

Hawks kitu walichokosa ni talented and genius player like Curry.. SAS nao ndio mchezo wanaocheza... Moving the ball and everyone is involved in moving the ball mpaka pale atakapopatikana mtu aliye free kushoot au aliye kwenye position nzuri ndie apewe na si kumtegemea Point Guard pekee ndiye afanye hayo yote...

Sasa mtu anakuja hapo kusema Curry sio an elite PG kwasababu tu hana assist za kumlinganisha na other Point Guards inabidi ushangae tu...

not taking away anything from the King..........Curry is exceptionally talented especially relative to his phyisique....the attention he has created can be compared to the likes of MJ,KB and LJ......

It isn’t me bro! That is the standard definition, according to the NBA.

This is how a PG is described in NBA’s standards:
NBA.com - Players and Positions

The point guard's role is similar to the director on a movie set, as he calls the plays and directs the offence. As it's his job to get the ball to his teammates in the best position where they can score, he is usually the best passer and dribbler on the team. Point guards are often the smallest and quickest players on the team and are often referred to as the one guard or the lead guard. Point guards typically are judged by how well they distribute the ball to their teammates, resulting in assists.

so curry doesnt fit any of the bolded features...

In the NBA’s standard definition of a PG, hell yeah! By the way, I’m not talking about great players. It is about the greatest PGs in the game’s history.
his pace supports this argument...he is definately among the best PG any team would like to have...you will come to appreciate this, when all said and done...

Oh! That came up unexpectedly! So, let me assume “it’s not just about the number”, (which is seemingly absurd in any sport, where numbers win games and championships), what was Curry’s impact to the team before the last 1.5 seasons? By the way, how do you measure a player’s impact on the team that is competing in a league?
your hatred is the least of his worry....His peers appreciate what he does and voted him the hardest to guard....you keep on overlooking his abilities....It seems you know better than most/all them NBA players...now tell me how do you statistically only and conclusively come up with the ''hardest to guard thing''

By value, you mean his value on the team or his monetary value? If you mean his value on the team, again as I have said above, it is very subjective. It also depends on how you define a player’s value: is it about helping his team win championships or at least try to win them? Or is it about individual stats etc.? If you mean Curry’s monetary value, I think he is one of (if not THE poorest) the poorest NBA stars contract-wise. With a $44 million 4-years contract, that makes him the lowly paid NBA superstar! All the NBA superstars are valued at $20+ million per year!

coming up with monetary value is total crap when we are talking on the court issues....so keep on guessing what actually I am talking about...

So, now are you trying to compare Curry’s impact on the team to Larry’s? This is the problem with you Curry’s fanatics you are sucking up too much on him!! The dude is talented, no doubt. But, it is TOO EARLY to put him up there with greatest players ever. He has to do what he is doing now, consistently until he retires.
you keep bashing Curry for no sensible and logical reasoning(yes because you have excluded alot of key factors)...meanwhile you are praising all the top PG who currently have more assists than Curry..What a bias analysis is this?

I wonder if Barcelona were only playing tiki taka without the style winning them championships,
SO GSW were only playing ''tik tak'' without the style winning them championship?...may I keep on reminding you who the reigning NBA champs are?
..could have been ranked as the best football club! And this includes Messi too; he does ‘chenga twawala’ things and wins championships etc. That is showing his impact and value to the team. So, if ‘chenga twawala’ makes a player the greatest, then you have a point.

your hatred is too high.....
somebody is the reigning MVP,he is the champ, currently a top scorer,is in top 5 in so many statistical categories,...yet you dont realize his impact and value....rather you come up with off the court monetary issues( I will leave that for now if you think he doesnt get enough)....

Alafu mbona haongelei deal lake na Under Armor... Vipi kuhusu Top selling Jersey nani anaongoza??

Curry is the best example on how an individual can come from zero to hero...His story is amazing...Throughout his playing career,he has always been underappreciated...he had to work his @$$ off to be in a position he is now....rather than saying ''just for two seasons'' ,.go through his past..Curry is no Lebron,,,but does his thing his own way..which will go down as one athlete of a kind the game to ever see..I am so proud to experience his greatness....

Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green wasn't supposed to play against the Los Angeles Lakers on Thursday night. But the fourth-year big man decided to lace 'em up when he found out that Kobe Bryant was going to play in his final trip to the Bay Area, as Green felt he couldn't miss such a historic game.
Though Green was satisfied that the Warriors secured a 116-98 victory, it was what happened afterward that made the night special for him.
After the final buzzer, Bryant walked up to Green and handed him a signed pair of his game-worn Kobe 11 shoes. The message: "To Draymond, MAKE HISTORY!," with Bryant's signature underneath.
The Warriors' budding trio of Green, Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson swarmed Bryant after the game as he told them to chase history and maximize the number of championships they win together, according to ESPN.com:
"You guys have got to go ahead and make history," Bryant told Curry.

"I got to chase you," Curry replied, a response that Bryant said he too would have used.

"Damn right," Bryant told Curry. "Absolutely. Come and get it."
With a historic 37-3 start to the season, the Warriors are hoping to follow in Bryant's footsteps and do something he did twice: Win back-to-back championships.
Bryant won three straight titles with the Lakers from 2000-02, and then back-to-back titles in 2009 and 2010. He knows a thing or two about repeating, and the Dubs wanted to soak up every drop of knowledge the 20-year veteran had in that post-game moment.
Fortunately for Golden State, Bryant believes it's their turn to reel off multiple championships now:
"I think so," Bryant said. "It's their time. It's their time. It's their time to step up and play and see how many championships they can win, see how many gold medals they can win. I had my run. Now it's important for them to carry it forward."
The Warriors' young stars took Bryant's post-game message to heart, and were quick to give him credit for inspiring them and leading by example as one of the greatest players the league has ever seen:
"He told us to chase history, so we're going to try to chase it now like he did in his career," Curry said. "He paved the way."
And Curry & Co. are following his path and then some." C&P

ni ubishi maandazi............labda hajui wachezaji wenzake(NBA players) walimpigia kura ya ''hardest to guard'' as well as ''clutch performer''..
so many haters who are infected with the disease of jealousy....I follow San Antonio Spurs ,Cavaliers and GSW facebook and twitter pages...kiukweli ukiingia page page ya gsw, kuna mamluki wengi wanaoonesha chuki za waziwazi dhidi yao, tofauti na page za Spurs na Cavs...
Where there is success, there comes hate....

For real bro... Angalau SAS wana matured fans... I see lots of them praising GSW and they accept Curry is doing something special to the game...

GSW Ni mfano wa kuigwa...It is setting an example on how an organization should be run..It has won its championship primarly from its draftees...It was not a team of ready made All Stars, superstars and ex-champions..It has literally not bought a championship....how sweet is that...!...yes..let them chase history..as KB put it........I just fail to understand how someone is as salty as a dead sea

We don't buy superstars/All stars but we made them... Zee la kulia lia itafikia wakati atamkataa mpaka Kyrie..

While Wade is his close friend ila alimsnitch sana on finals mpaka Lebron fans wakaanza kumtukana Wade teh teh..

Wade was openly rooting for GSW, he knew the King wont win shit without him...

TEHETEH..SO 1,206,467 people dont know that Curry is not a ''better PG'' than CP3,Russel,RR and DL?!?!..
....
zaza has been so good this season..I like the Mavs with him..
And what's bad is Curry actually doubled Russel and is 3 times away from Elite CP3....

Teh teh teh teh That is just 1.5 Season...

For sure he is good... The bad thing anaweza kukosa maana watachukua 7 frontcourt players and 5 Guards..

Mi naona sometimes inabidi mtu u'appreciate greatness when you see one. You might have some statistical analysing ability but, don't let that clowd the moment of greatness. For once, accept that common conundrum... "it is what it is" When it comes to prodigious players like Curry. With success always come hate and her sisters (or so I put it) doubt and loathing.
