If you think i am crazy for pointing out some political blunders Late Nyerere made then it's okey with me but did you ever ask yourself why are we creating a new constitution now?What's wrong with the existing Constitution?Why people in the areas with plent of valuable resources are so poor,In Mara,Shinyanga,etc?Why did people of Mtwara take to the streets to protest the transportation of gas to Dar es salaam?The root-course here is Constitution which gave all the power and authorities over resources,political and administrative authorities to the Central Government leaving the local governments with very little to benefit from.The question now comes...Who to blame for this flawed Constitution?

The current constitution has nothing to do with the prevailing poverty in Tanzania rather it is simple minded person like yourself keep on blaming the goverment .As a Tanzania you should first ask youself what have I done to my country ? Do you think new constitution will be panacea to the prevailing extreme poverty ?

It can only be done right if the contracts are open, there is a good government policy on how to exploit the resources and no corrupt government. But what i see now is just chukua chako mapema.

Why do you wait for the government? why dont you go and sign an open contract with those companies? what is stopping you? I already have two contracts (on my expertise) with similar exploration companies, but I will never ever make my contracts open, why should I undress myself to competition? and they are many Tanzanians who are already benefiting by providing different expertise and services to over 30 companies who are now exploring in Tanzania.

Pursue and grab the opportunities, do not wait for the government, who is the government? remember the government is you and me and others like unto us.

On Governmental front,The current Constitution has given too much power to the Central Government,Power on how the Country's resources should be used,Who should decide on foreign investments in the Country and who should plan and implement mega projects in the Country.If the current Constitution allowed the Local Governments to have a say on how the resources in a given area should be used,If Local Governments allowed to have a say on the foreign investment issues,If common people had a say on the land possession matters,If the current Constitution had forced administrations not to allow the possession of investments of 100% by foreigners instead the investment possession would be on 50/50 basis between Locals & Foreigners then this what we call unemployment problem would be a history.
