Wastage of time to discuss the plight of a place you do not reside. It is the people living in that area are the ones who should determine their own destiny.

Others will do better to focus on their own endemic matters which are many and remain contentious. Pambaneni na khali zenu.

Those in Ngorongoro Crater have a colonial agreement to live there perpetually. That pact will always be honoured for the sake of historical reasons.

Those who seek modernity which is in conflict with wildlife sustenance are the ones who should move out or shipped out.

Great Bible Study is Bookended By Prayer
To be a Christian without prayer is no more possible than to be alive without breathing. – Martin Luther
One of my favorite meals is grilled marinated chicken. Last summer, I looked up the process of marination because I wanted to know what was happening to the food to make it taste so good. Here’s what I discovered.
When you marinate food, usually a protein like chicken, you cover it in an acidic liquid (like vinegar or lemon juice). The acidic liquid breaks down the outer layers of the meat so that the flavorful seasonings can work their way in deeper.
Marination takes time. You can’t just drop a chicken breast in a marinade for a few minutes and expect it to hold the flavor. You have to give the process time to work.
Prayer is Christian marination. Praying with and in the Bible allows us to sit in God’s truth for an extended period in such a way that allows it to break through our outer barriers and “flavor” us beyond what we were capable of becoming on our own.
With this in mind, let me share with you the prayer I say every time I pick up my Bible:
Lord, please open me up to your Word, and open up your Word to me.
This sets the stage in my mind and heart for something to happen during my daily habit. I want to be changed. I want the Holy Spirit to illuminate the Word. And I make these intentions clear by voicing this short prayer.
There are (quite literally) hundreds of ways to incorporate prayer into and around your Bible time. For now, I encourage you to try this short prayer and see what changes take place.
Pro-Tip: Do you find yourself frustrated in prayer because you don’t feel like God hears or answers you? Let me give you the advice my pastor gave me: lower your threshold. Most people think that hearing from God is a miraculous, life-altering event. In reality, God and the Holy Spirit are speaking to you every day (and even multiple times per day!). Lowering your threshold means (1) expecting God will speak to you and (2) actively looking for small ways in which He does. You don’t need a burning bush experience to encounter God; sometimes the right song on the radio can accomplish the same thing.

Great Bible Study is Transformative

Those who are willing to be vulnerable move among mysteries. – Theodore Roethke

Imagine walking into a doctor’s office because you’re feeling sick but instead of the thermometer being used the way it’s supposed to be (by placing it in your mouth, ear, or on your forehead), it is placed in your hand. Then after a few seconds, the nurse picks it up tells you your temperature looks fine.
How would you respond? Of course it looks fine, you didn't use it the right way.
In that setting, used in that way, the best the thermometer could do was read the temperature of the room around it. It’s not that the thermometer itself was broken or ineffective. It just wasn’t being used correctly.
In the same way, when we keep the Bible at arm’s length we miss out on the profound power, truth, and life waiting to be accessed. The Bible is one of the primary ways God chose to reveal himself to us. If we want to have, be, and do everything God intended it all starts with approaching the Bible with the right tools and intentions in place.
For my own Christian walk, these are the seven pillars of effective (and transformative) Bible study:

Understanding context.

Building a habit.

Practicing memorization.

Using the right tools.

Learning in community.

Integrating prayer.

Pursuing vulnerability.

Your own walk may incorporate more, but certainly no less than these seven. They have helped me grow beyond what I thought possible and I believe they can do the same for you.
I hope and pray that you learn to love God’s Word with a ferocious passion. And finally, that it will truly become a lamp unto your feet and a light upon your path.

Platinumz is a great crooner but not a rapper, and he seems to have misdiagnosed why Burner Boy rules European capitals: he thinks rapping is behind the Nigerian success. Well, it is not!

The gospel truth is "on one on one" Platinumz is a more complete entertainer than the Nigerian but the difference is in their respective marketing department.

Burner Boy has his well educated mom to guide his business aspects while Platinumz has surrounded himself with busybodies.

So mimicking Burner Boy rapping career obscure Platinumz inherent talents
I heard his most recent release and was appalled from what I heard: Copycats never learm....

The future looks very bleak indeed must sadly conclude

Whoever is advising TRA on widening the tax net is horrendously misleading them.

Social media followers are not footprints of income generation get it in your thick skull.

One may have 10 million followers but generates nothing substantial.

Estimate of revenue ought to be based on number of views, likes etc which payers use to calculate revenue.

Do not reduce yourself into a laughing stock. Begin to use brain and less brawn and you will get somewhere.

Collection of social media income is easier because influencers are paid directly into their accounts.

So, why should you waste your energy in snooping and reduce yourself into a voyeur while you have access to monitor their accounts.

Influencers with more than 100K needs to register and record accounts which they use to milk the honey...this is how a brilliant auditing mind works and never hassle with the clutter data.

Social media influencers are their worst enemies since they have been bragging about their newfound money and have attracted unwanted attention from Mr. Taxman now it is high time they begin to share their new sources of wealth which tend to be passive but gushing and perpetual.

A Prayer against Fear

God,
Too often, I find myself overwhelmed by circumstances that are beyond my control. Too often, I am easily distracted by things that don’t matter. Please forgive me for not consistently placing my trust in You.
I know that as I step into a new season I will face obstacles that make me want to give up. When this happens, give me the faith I need to cling to the truth: that Your peace and protection aren’t based on my feelings or circumstances but on Your character and faithfulness.
Because You are faithful, You will guard me and establish me. You will rescue me from trouble and deliver me from the evil one. You will make a way where there is no way. If You can bring dry bones to life and make a river in a desert, then You can do a new thing in me regardless of what’s going on around me.
Nothing is too hard for You. You are a hiding place for me; You preserve me from trouble; You surround me with shouts of deliverance. As I look for the ways You are calling me to start fresh, help me to remember Your truth. And as I remember Your truth, help me to step boldly forward into the plans You have prepared for me.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Action Step

Visualize something that is currently making you anxious. Take a deep breath in, and then give that fear to God as you breathe out. Repeat this exercise as needed before meditating on today’s Scripture passages.

Now Mpoto is our new water ambassador. He is now a top national hydrologist figure (with zero training) and he will be educating us on water stats (which the water ministry will spoon feed him) we will swirl the big data numbers instead of the real water and our water thirsting issues will be quenched and consequently a thing of the past. Chasing our water blues away the CCM way. The problem is we will hear what the ministry releases and there will be no critical appraisal to sift through the data as a locum will be puking them at us and the whole caboodle will have zero added value...beyond bulging the pockets of the CCM agitator and the mouths he has to feed.

We read this tantamount to vote buying...just like paying musicians money from arcane source.

We are told local musicians have received their tokens but collected from where? Nobody playing our local music meter it so how do the cash was computed and dished out? It is no head turning event when cash is dished out from nowhere and the list of beneficiaries has zero correlation with the songs which are box office hits and charts topping...it is a reward system alienated from actual performances.

Our Take

For our youth in technical schools just drop out and go to Bwagamoyo school of art after successfully graduation start in earnest praising top CCM leaders they will appoint you top national talent in whichever field you like. Flattering our politicians will take you there.

Nobody cares about your education the only thing they reward is winning your praises and lauding them to whomever.

We still do not know why we urge our children to go to schools while in reality nobody cares to employ them in their relevant sectors.

When you witness there are no rules it is because the regime is very insecure and to legitimise itself it doles out gifts in conformity with the scripture: all love the gift giver but a poorman is despised though he pursues his brothers with sweet words yet they still abandon him.

Mkono mtupu kweli haulambwi.

We will remember her for her staunch stand on professionalism regardless of the politics of the day. Few do rival her on the issue of professionalism and ethical sobriety.

When Zica was paying us the unholy visit she was intrepid enough to call a spade a spade rather than placating our willy nilly politicians by labeling it a nonexistent ailment. She refused to pay lies in order to keep her job as a result she got a sack and moved on....what an inspirational figure to stand by principles no matter the consequences ahead of her.

Well done mtaalamu. You fought a good fight of faith, you finished the race and you left us with a seminal legacy to emulate.
