New administration under Samia Suluhu gives hope after 5 years of hopelessness

If you hear voices from the grave that is a very ominous karma. The scripture says of four things which never are sated the grave heads the list...and we also know there is a gulf between those living and the dead signifying such voices are from unfamiliar spirits and only demons can assume the persona of a dead person to deceive even the elect

Zitto Zuberi Kabwe promotes lies and subterfuge.

We seldom talk about him but since he is positioning himself as a peacemaker we feel it is time to puncture his balloon full of wishful thinking

Kabwe told the Madam president that the country is wedged and is splintered and she can fix the burgeoning rift between her political party and those who want to oust her.

The truth is she touts zero leverage to unify the nation for several reasons;

1) CDM continues to question her legitimacy to govern after an election which as far as they are concerned was stolen. CDM cannot accept her leadership unless she levels the playing field something she will never do because it will be playing a Russian roulette.

2) She entreated the opposition to end the constitutional reform debate; however, they defied her and continued digging in spreading lies about what is wrong with our constitution. Obviously, CDM holds no deference towards her, at all, and therefore she cannot lead a reconciliation effort as ZZK has showered her with unsolicited and undeserved encomiums.

3) She portrays no impartial emblems and that proscribes her from a role of a unifier. She has always been asserting herself as the reincarnation of her predecessor and since all political foibles were upped in the creek by her predecessor and asserting the two are one and the same meant a compromise not anywhere near the horizon.

4) Peacemaker ought to be an impartial judge and little can be identified with her as she keeps surrounding herself with political allies who have no intention to cede any ground.

5) ZZK fails to grasp that as his saviour of the nation is busier campaigning for her presidential stab in 2025 her main rivals are either languishing in remand or are self imposed exiles and those are never the credentials of reconciliator. Entente cries for a presidential concession that our election regime is broken and in serious need of repair but has nothing to do with individual rights of the CDM luminaries.

6) ZZK avers that the release of his former boss will be a gesture in the right direction but the truth is Mbowe is relishing his whole predicament because as far as he is concerned he is angling to neutralize his deputy from gunning down for the presidency. We know Mbowe did the same in 2015 in order to dislodge his deputy from being endorsed by his CDM to run for the presidency. Despite self inflicted knee injuries his deputy tragic heroism toppled Mbowe devious schemes. Mbowe out or in the jail is smelling blood and is readying himself for a kill therefore he is in no mood to reciprocate to the presidential overtures but to viciously undermine her authority by adamantly taunting her legitimacy to govern through a malicious call for constitutional reforms

7) ZZK is a double dealer. On one hand, he is cavorting with CCM for crumbs but on the other pursuit is pandering to CDM for political relevance. A double dealer can betray either of the rivalling side at anytime without a notice so he should not be trusted.

8) Underemployed ZZK is also on the hunt for a job and this loudly explain why he is enticing CCM to a negotiating table but CDM does not trust him after joining CCM to form a government of national unity in Zenj despite claims and counterclaim of a stolen election.

9) Facts speak by themselves that CCM and CDM will never see eye to eye because the election stakes of 2025 demand a weakened opposition for CCM victory and CDM needs to create chaos to foster their remote chance of kicking out CCM from their perch.

10) Like the dog family on a prowl, it is disorder not peaceful coexistence which CDM is fomenting to create an enabling condition to remove CCM from power. They know CCM power is neither in a unifying ideology nor in a fanatical base but in the power of intimidation and assault by the security forces. But, they also know overdependence on brawn rather than the power of persuasion is also a weakness which they are looking forward to exploit in full...

However, Kabwe is right on the prognosis of "tumeparanganyika sana" but is wrong on solutions "ninaamini wewe Rais wetu unao uwezo wa kutuunganisha". The gospel truth is she is not part of a solution but of a problem as her quest to grab a second term overrides the incentive of thawing of political icicles.

Selective eviction of Ngorongoro Crater residents unavoidable.

Residents of Ngorongoro claim they own Ngorongoro but the gospel truth they do not. According to the British Maasai District officer report of 1959 confirmed beyond a figment of doubt more than two thirds of claimants of the area were not even Tanganyikans but Kenyan Masaai fleeing the British land annexation in Moru forests. Of 9,000 local residents there 6,000 circa were Kenyan citizens but because forceful land acquisition was the British own made problem they were unperturbed to push them to Tanganyika.

Despite this cheeky land resolution there was a written agreement between the local residents and the British on land utilisation which over the years the locals have stubbornly refused to follow to the letter an ingratitude of condonation of successive CCM governments from Mwinyi last term but fortuitously now there is political will to fix the broken past with intent.

During Mwinyi reign, the then PM Malecela caved in to Ngorongoro District political pressure and allowed illegal cultivation just to coerce votes prior to 1995 general election. Malecela was busier signing political IOUs as he was eyeing the presidency through CCM nominations. We know Nyerere scuppered his presidential dreams but Mkapa who won the presidency paid a blind eye to new land usage which were detrimental to the survival balance between human and wildlife.

Before we apportion full blame to the Ngorongoro Maasai to all the ecological disaster happening there right now there is a need to look at the whole spectrum in full. Maa are not the only culprits but there are other politically powerful players who have been contributing to the ecological calamity of Ngorongoro without being punished.

We will beam at four more groups which too need to be evicted from Ngorongoro. The first group is illegal immigrants in the area which the locals through intermarriage or pure bribes have legitimised aliens to be legally recognised as legal residents. These individuals have helped to add at least 5,000 illegal residents in the area.

The second group are illegal cultivators in the midst of the Northern Highlands Forest which is the chief source of rain to downstream lands which include Karatu, Mto wa Mbu, Babati and Lake Manyara. Satellite images have continued to indicate the Forest is under serious threat of total destruction as illegal cultivation and deforestation for timber goes unchecked. This group ought to be forceful removed from the forest and a twenty four hour monitoring program is established ably assisted by drones installed to ensure the Forest is protected and remain a sanctuary to wildlife and livestock in the area.

The third group is on Eastern side of the forest around Monduli area where cultivators have annexed a huge chunk of land and are now vociferously clamouring for redrawing of boundaries to accommodate them. In the past these frivolous and vexatious claims had one sympathiser in Lowassa who did not want to antagonize his own voting basket. Luckily for the wildlife no boundary tampering has occurred rendering the forceful eviction much easier to enforce without acting illegally.

The fourth group is retired civil servants and business people who have decided to settle there and exacerbated the conflict of land use between human and wildlife. This group together with economically prosperous local residents have joined forces in erecting modern buildings donning iron sheets roofing and are now an eyesore. We need to demolition all such human activities and restore wildlife corridors which are but extinguished.

In a summary, we are advocates to a selective eviction in Ngorongoro to discourage human activities which are hostile to a perpetual survival of the wildlife. The groups identified need to be issued with a one year eviction notice and that notice vigorous enforced thereafter.

A Prayer for Refreshment

God,
I want to step into all that You have for me with boldness and confidence. But if I’m being honest, I’m uncertain of what the future will hold—and that can feel unsettling.
Search me, God, and refresh my heart.
Right now, please help me to surrender my expectations, and transform my mind as I draw near to You.
Search me, God, and align my heart with Yours.
As I pursue the plans You have for me, let me remember what You’ve already helped me overcome. You have already made a way for me to know You. You have already made a way for me to experience eternal life with You. Nothing is too hard for You!
Search me, God, and heal my heart.
Whatever the future holds, I know You hold me. Nothing is impossible for You.
Restore me, God, and make me new.
In Jesus’ name,
Amen.

Action Step

Re-read this prayer out loud. After you read each bold statement, spend 30 seconds in complete silence. During that time, pay attention to any words, ideas, or pictures that God gives you.

A Prayer for Peace

God,
Thank You for making it possible for me to experience peace at all times. Because You gave us Your Son, I always have a way to know and experience You. There is nothing that can separate me from Your loving presence. God, I know this, but sometimes I struggle to believe You could love someone like me.
When I don’t feel Your peace, please help me to rest in the confident assurance that You are still in control. And because You are still in control, I can approach each new day with joy and thankfulness.
There is nothing that is too hard for You to do. There is nothing broken that You cannot make new. So please help me to see the new things You are doing in this season. Let my trust in You deepen and my faith in You flourish. For as my faith grows, so does my awareness of Your perfect love. And when Your love consumes me, there is no room for fear.
So transform me by Your love so that my life becomes an example of Your peace that surpasses understanding.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Action Step

As you continue to seek after God’s heart in this season, make a list of some of the things He’s revealed to you so far. Turn these things into action statements that you can review each day. Allow the truths that God has revealed to you to transform the way you think in this fresh season.

SIXTH SUNDAY IN ORDINARY TIME YEAR C

FIRST READING
JEREMIAH 17: 5 - 8

Thus says the Lord: “Cursed is the man who trusts in man and makes flesh his arm, whose heart turns away from the Lord. He is like a shrub in the desert, and shall not see any good come. He shall dwell in the parched places of the wilderness, in an uninhabited salt land. “Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, whose trust is the Lord. He is like a tree planted by water, that sends out its roots by the stream, and does not fear when heat comes, for its leaves remain green, and is not anxious in the year of drought, for it does not cease to bear fruit.”

The Word of the Lord.

RESPONSORIAL PSALM
Psalm 1: 1 - 4, 6 (R.) Psalm 40: 4ab

R/. Blessed the man who has placed his trust in the Lord.

Blessed indeed is the man
who follows not the counsel of the wicked,
nor stands in the path with sinners,
nor abides in the company of scorners,
but whose delight is the law of the Lord,
and who ponders his law day and night. R/.

He is like a tree that is planted beside the flowing waters,
that yields its fruit in due season,
and whose leaves shall never fade;
and all that he does shall prosper. R/.

Not so are the wicked, not so!
For they, like winnowed chaff,
shall be driven away by the wind.
For the Lord knows the way of the just,
but the way of the wicked will perish. R/.

SECOND READING
1ST CORINTHIANS 15: 12, 15 - 20

Brethren: If Christ is preached as raised from the dead, how can some of you say that there is no resurrection of the dead? For if the dead are not raised, then Christ has not been raised. If Christ has not been raised, your faith is futile and you are still in your sins. Then those also who have fallen asleep in Christ have perished. If for this life only we have hoped in Christ, we are of all men most to be pitied. But in fact Christ has been raised from the dead, the first fruits of those who have fallen asleep.

The Word of the Lord.

ALLELUIA
Luke 6: 23ab

Alleluia.
Rejoice and leap for joy, says the Lord, for behold, your reward is great in heaven.
Alleluia

GOSPEL
LUKE 6: 17, 20 - 26

At that time: Jesus came down with the Twelve and stood on a level place, with a great crowd of his disciples and a great multitude of people from all Judea and Jerusalem and the seacoast of Tyre and Sidon, who came to hear him and to be healed of their diseases. And he lifted up his eyes on his disciples and said: “Blessed are you poor, for yours is the kingdom of God. “Blessed are you that hunger now, for you shall be satisfied. “Blessed are you that weep now, for you shall laugh. “Blessed are you when men hate you, and when they exclude you and revile you, and cast out your name as evil, on account of the Son of man! Rejoice in that day, and leap for joy, for behold, your reward is great in heaven; for so their fathers did to the prophets. But woe to you that are rich, for you have received your consolation. Woe to you that are full now, for you shall hunger. Woe to you that laugh now, for you shall mourn and weep. Woe to you, when all men speak well of you; for so their fathers did to the false prophets.”
