WHY BASHIRU'S DIATRIBE SMACKS OF HYPOCRISY, DECEPTION AND INCITEMENT!
Well, there are people in this world who are not grateful people and whatever good you do to them they will not be thankful but will hate you even amore. And, Bashiru's disgusting conduct caps it all: Deprived of any leverage, the man is livid and vengeful against those he perceives had done him wrong despite being lavished with a soft landing: presidential appointment to be an MP without facing the hassle of campaigning.
Of noteworthy, the presidential appointed MP ought to align himself with the government not seizing the opposition mantle to pummel the very institution had entrusted him with that portfolio.
This is the story of one Bashiru, the once powerful figure in Mwendazake administration now learning the ropes of living without exercising the scepters of power.
The Bashiru of the CCM chief executive was very reticent on gross injustices committed then lest he antagonize Mwendazake and lose the perks in the government but the post-Mwendazake Bashiru is bitter, vitriolic and inconsolable for all the selfish reasons.
We say, he is egocentric because God gave him ample opportunities to rebuke injustices during Mwendazake era of gross human right abuses but he opted to be silent and, hence, self serving. Paradoxically, now human rights have been fully restored by the steady hand of Her Excellence Samia Suluhu Hassan, Bashiru instead of congratulating her for this epic feat, he reads hell and seize an opportunity to puke his personal consternation not guided by facts and pockmark "utumishi wa umma uliotukuka"!
In the aftermath of the much maligned 2020 general elections, this is what he said....about CCM dubitable elections triumph...
"Tutatumia dola kubaki madarakani...."
"..wapinzani tuliwapiga kweli." End of quotation.
Those are not utterances from anybody claiming to be a vanguard of justice but it is an incriminating evidence of somebody who has total disregard of the rule of law.
The Bashiru secretary general of CCM began his political career painting himself as graft slayer but at the end of it all he left behind an exchequered legacy for future generations NOT to emulate!
He initiated an internal investigation against allegations of rampant mismanagement and widespread abuse of public office in CCM, however, many wondered why he did not call the TAKUKURU and the police to do their statutory job. At the end of it all, his probe team spent colossal sums of money and its report Bashiru kept it in lock and barrel gathering dust for reasons best known to himself. There was zero rate of return for his CCM inquest indulgences.
On specific terms of fighting for the poor, he has no record to brandish so to speak. When there was an outcry of formation of a board to siphon off the surplus value of cashewnuts for dubious reasons of safeguarding the future of the cash crop, Bashiru buried his head in the sand, neither seeing nor hearing any evil. He was quite aloof to the protests of the cashewnut growers who felt pinched in the pocketbook where it hurts most. But as far as Bashiru was concerned, it was their problem not his! Some CCM MPs from the area saw their political fortunes dwindling and their political careers hitting dead end during Mwendazake reign for defending the rights of cashewnut growers in their respective constituencies while Bashiru soaked himself in self-aggrandisement! It is a case of a pathological narcissist, abinitio!
When does the problems of the peasants become his?
Well, Bashiru playbook is an open and shut case. He will roil himself with the fight against injustices when his personal interests are at risk. He picks his political fights very carefully ensuring his bread never blended with dust and ashes but honey, jam and butter, at all times.
Can Bashiru be trusted?
We answer this query affirmatively NO!
His words may sound as a man oozing with confidence, audacity and willpower but behind a facade of showboating lies a stratagem of hoodwinking the indigent for the purposes and intents of elevating his own political career by trashing others on his way to power. It is a case study of zero sum game where only he can win and others must willingly lose or he will bully them to a permanent loss.
No sooner, Mwendazake tipped him for CCM ceo job he went public, in a glare of bombardment of cameras and videos, promising he will never accept any other appointment as CCM secretary general was an acme of a contented man career only to expose his hypocrisy five years later when he was appointed to be the Head of civil service. Neither did he peek conflict of interest of doubling as a ceo both in the ruling party CCM and in the civil service or an abysmal failure to keep his bereft promise of a man basking in contentment.
Really, Bashiru is a showcase of public service ridicule notwithstanding his effort to convince us he is a man dwelling in the house of righteousness. He is not projecting moral uprightness but its embarrassing sham.
Should Bashiru keep his parliamentary post after this balderdash?
We feel since he has repaid evil for good there is no justification to leave him in parliament where he can inflict serious damage to the government. Just like his predecessor, an incognito Polepole, in donning a sheepskin to hide his leopard spotted malice, it is time to show him the exit door in a manner will remind not only him but all and sundry an appointee cannot call the appointer "....una umwingi sanaaaaaaa."
And, incitement while parlaying presidential appointee attire is antagonistic, polarising and totally unacceptable.
How to get rid of this imposter from the House?
We have a precedent in another loser one Polepole whose intrepid circuses were anything but Polepole. Bashiru is an ambassador and sending him to Somalia will free the Parliament from his overambitious presidential tantrums, and where else but in Somalia where he will have a rare opportunity to learn the "bolts and nuts" of not taking life for granted when he sees how the Somalis are waging ferocious battles for survival against nature and against their controversial ideologues of which he embodies and flourishes albeit with a twisted tweak!
