It's time to laugh our blues away!


We say powermongers in the opposition have short memories. "Three miafaka" in Zenji involving the same people never resolved a one party mentality. CCM always eager to bribe top opposition leaders with public lucrative jobs in order to keep them under leash. CCM ultimate purpose is to restore a modicum of electoral justice at all levels but the presidential level where it matters most. We expect reforms will be a window covered by a shutter, we hope we are dead wrong. But are we sceptics or cynics? Time will tell. History does not give out a glimmer of hope in this effort but another circus.

Without a shred of doubt, we conclude righteousness is non-negotiable, but if you have to sit down, spend time to argue about it, implies neither side believes in it. The just, always, walk by faith, not in attempting to placate one another.


Reforms at NEC very unlikely to be fundamental with the independent secretariat like in Zenj, but even there, elections were massively rigged!

Nobody in CCM can willingly accept a defeat at the ballot as no opposition leader can have a constitutional order in their own political tents, which let justice flow like a mighty river.


If the opposition leaders can not be trusted to usher in justice in their own fiefdom, who can trust them at the national level?


For the hitherto opposition kingpins to be taken seriously, they must reform the constitution of their own political parties where injustices persist.

It needs no reminder that charity begins at home.

To the opposition powermongers, we have one word of advice.. clean your house before clamouring for a national exorcism. Lead by example, which until now you are a huge disappointment.

REVOCATION OF DIWALI APPOINTMENT IS PLEASANT TO AN EYESIGHT.



We salute the president for revoking this invidious appointment.

This guy is faulted by the doctrine of "cleaner hands."

In Kenya, yesterday, Ruto promised to rummage what happened during his predecessor reign, we too must have better aspirations on this.

The missing or murdered people, the citizens, have a fundamental right to know what really happened. We cannot dismiss that by retorting: " Yaliyopita si ndwele.."

We now say to the victims...ni ndwele bhana.

We are crying for a truth and reconciliation commission to address our murky past where the victims will meet their abusers


If we circumvent the gospel truth, we will fail to address untold violations of human rights, and we will squander the opportunity to create and sustain institutional checks and balance, which will promote deterrence and good governance.

We are not advocating for restitutive justice but an acknowledgement we had behaved inappropriately, and in future we shouldn't.

It is the least the victims of the 5th Reich expect perpetrators of gross violations of human rights, which led to murder, abductions, and kidnappings shall be given an opportunity to confess before their victims.

If they refuse, then criminal proceedings will be instituted in cases we have sufficient evidence.

Reparations may include pecuniary compensation where life was lost or a disability was inflicted

It those dependants left behind who suffer most, and we rarely take it to heart.


Once again, we congratulate our president for correcting a major blunder that had left us dumbfounded!

President Samia has also appointed Dr Natu El-Maamry Mwamba as the PS in the Ministry of Finance and Planning.

Dr Natu El-Maamry a lecturer at the University of Dar es Salaam, was also the board chair of the Kilimanjaro Airport Development Company (Kadco) prior to her appointment.

In 2011, she became the first woman to serve in the Board of Directors of the central Bank of Tanzania (BoT) as Deputy Governor .

By the time she was appointed to join the BoT board, Dr Mwamba was a faculty member at the University of Dar es Salaam who had already worked at the central bank for seven years on monetary policy and audit committees.

Shortly after, she joined the board of directors at BoT, Dr Mwamba was appointed by President Jakaya Kikwete (2005-2015) as BoT’s first female Deputy Governor overseeing the economic and financial policies portfolio.

Dr Natu El-Maamry Mwamba is being groomed to be the first female BOT governor.

We say she will succeed the current governor after he completes his term or hits a mandatory retirement age.


Dr. Natu stands to be appointed BOT governor within five years from TODAY.
 
There is time for everything, including binging with tragicomedy. And, this typifies it.

We say he is totally unqualified. Neither inspirational nor visionary leader but extremely insipid squatter in a slumbering and nodding off cabinet. In fact, he is no leader at all. We have cabinet members who label themselves "chawa wa mama" instead of delivering services to the hoi polloi.

What he has done so far could perfectly fit in "mawaziri mizigo" template.

He says he is a lawyer, but we grapple with a risk averter who exercises minutiae jurisprudence. We are gunning down for a risk lover who will question everything we have done, so far. That could be an acknowledgement of "we have been hurtling down in a wrong direction," and it is high time we reset the button of leadership.

Someone has really lost his compass or its needle is broken beyond repair.

We saw how he is raising his family, and we were shocked of his own son diatribe and arrogance. If he has failed to raise his own blood, who will trust him with national matters? Can someone stand up and defend his long public service record? We peek none despite glossing over pages and pages rifling for a gem to illuminate his incognito public service career.

But in TZ, not doing anything could be what is considered meritocracy. He could be a safe pick for "business as usual" clique but not a maverick choice we have been clamouring and drooling for....

But may be this guy is not the real "ishu" but our unrealistic expectations are the main problem. We may be expecting too much from our lacklustre political class.

So, we are least surprised if and when he gets the nod.
