New administration under Samia Suluhu gives hope after 5 years of hopelessness

Well, tourism needs some serious reboot. Is he really an investor because his escort services gal says so? What really our bimbo knows beyond the portraits in the social media of our conman surrounded with fake greenbacks (numismatics) which nebbishes think it is the official fiat. She swallowed not only a hook and a line but a sinker as well for counterfeits and our bureaucrats are about to be bamboozled, as well. Well, we have a long way to cover before wisdom rules our lives.

How much is he really worthy? The last time around he was slapped with child support ultimatums after his teary, inconsolable babe mama lodged documents in a court exposing his failure to provide life necessities to his three children! It was a case of "name and shame" which did not seat well with the brand of a prosperous tycoon he is grappling to build at our collective anguish.

From a number of US celebrity wealth trackers, his average wealth was less than $30 MILL. The bulk of that assessment was not in hardcash but inflated assets which are difficult to liquidate without taking a huge financial hit. So forget about him using his own cash to invest in TZ. Worst in this evaluation, he has zero record as an investor but he is now treated as a financial wizard in the similitude of Jeff Bezzos, Michael Bloomberg or George Soros while he is nowhere near that club of billionaires who are the shakers of the investment world to its foundations...

What about loans? Those are available but they will need Tanzanian government guarantee in case he defaults. And, interest rates are most likely to soar because the Western financial markets are now slowly drifting into hyper-inflation so banks are about to hike interest rates to discourage currency circulation which is chasing few goods in a comparison to its glut.

The way we see government institutions are falling over to welcoming him as a genuine investor few should be surprised if he takes loans under government guarantees and spiked interest rates only to put the borrowed bootleg where his mouth is.

If he can shortchange his own kids how much can he con a nation replete with bribe seekers and takers? Remember another African American mwekezaji whom the then transportation minister one Mwakyembe brought from USA. The bloke was expected to usher in a new dawn in locomotive industry by procuring for us state of art train engines. Did he deliver the lofty promises? The engines he brought were a far cry from the photos we were bombarded with. Nobody took responsibility for this fiasco up to the present times. It was a case of money burnt for junkie services but a few pockets were filled to the rim. The parties to the scam when accosted to account for their misdeeds they refused to own up but blamed their sidekicks who had no role in identifying the supplier who turned out to be a thief.

We rule him as an influence peddler but not a genuine investor, at all.

Time is ticking.

True that the internet has been abused by some users but the best way to deal with them is just to ignore them.

The Internet is here to stay, and policing it will only open new avenues to bypass it.

I have been bullied, insulted and hazed but I just ignored my chief tormentors and today they are silent

Mwendazake holdover is sensing his days in CCM are numbered but his weakness is a failure to know his position in a political organisation

Kipindi cha uongozi?

What uongozi if you do not know that you are a lackey inside CCM? If you do not know your true notch and why you were appointed to the Parliament can you teach others uongozi? Are you repaying your appointer with opposition inside the ruling party? Do you delude yourself you can excel inside the party in power by playing a sour, jilted lover who bluffs to elope with a rival?

Did you really earn the masters degree the UDSM conferred you? UDSM has earned notoriety of awarding CCM senior politicians with degree certificates which they do not merit. Are you not in that category? The more we listen to your contributions in the political scene the more we wonder about your curriculum vita.

In the last general election, the grapevine claims you were selling ccm nominations to the highest bidder, and you are yet to fully respond to these allegations which depict you as a graft muncher. Moreover, they accuse you of demanding bonking sessions from courtesans as bribes before you recommend them to secure those nominations, and instead of using this opportunity to respond to those allegations you have been busier misleading the general public about Covid-19, and its costs of vaccines.

You say in your program you can talk about your dog because you had coughed one million! Are you serious? Is there element of uongozi in talking about your dog? You said you can talk about anything? Are you okay? Is there uongozi in everything? Do one.mill shillings allow you to cite false data to support your misplaced arguments?

Those who say you are entitled to your opinion needs to learn that such entitlement exclude deliberate brainwashing listeners.

Our Take

Just revoke his licence because he is exploiting it to express a grudge following his demotion after Mwendazake demise. Good leaders know when it is over, and it is time for others to serve....when they consider themselves irreplaceable they cease from being dependable leaders, as this case amply demonstrates.

CCM fissures are growing, and even the use of metaphors can no longer obscure the facts. Victims of Mwendazake are still blaming his henchmen for their torment.

Curiously, what started as defending Mwendazake record has turned out ugly for those who had picked the rotten end of the stick.

Tundu tulia dawa iwaingie vizuri. Acha kuamua kesi ukiwa mafichoni.

Our Take:-

Hakuna mwanadamu anaweza kuwatumikia mabwana wawili aidha atampenda mmoja na mwingine hatathaminiwa. Huwezi kuwa mwanasiasa na mwanasheria kwa wakati mmoja.

Polepole: Are you smarter than a 4th grader?

Polepole thinks he is smarter than all of us but the devil always is in the details. We will bust his hollow evidence unto shards just bear with us.

Polepole claims his apartment was broken into, his wall TV stolen and his home ransacked contextualised into possibly he is under attack by security forces for his staunch position on anti Covid-19 vaccination. What can be discerned from the yanked TV? We gawked.

We know our friend has carved a name for himself as anti-vaxxy crusader grandstanding in deference of his former boss who died from such misplaced intuitions.

We empathize with Polepole for getting wrongfooted, and finding no room for accommodation in a new dawn of pragmatism, and his maverick stance which ultimately will cost his political career, as it should.

But it is his latest claims which have left us dumbfounded. From his video telltale we have failed to draw any meaningful conclusions because some of the vital footage is either missing or has been deliberately expunged from the recording.

Polepole avers that his home was broken into but did not see the wisdom of showing us that door or window which was broken into that we may assess for ourselves whether it was an outside job or an internal one. We have no way of attesting there was forced entry, at all. Since such crucial information is intentionally withdrawn from the video narratives we rule this was a staged scene to invoke public sympathy.

Secondly, it is the evidence of a stolen wall attached TV where the whole yarn just blow apart because it is not the style of security forces: they do not want to prestage situations since their main purpose is to inflict maximum fear, and urge obedience. They will never create a scene to blame a thief so we gaze this as another reason to suspect an internal job. Henchmen can be paid to stage a burglary, and we confidently beam it here.

Security forces will only be interested in Polepole phone or laptop to track down his digital footprints but they will never ransack his home as we saw in the video. What is there to be gained from the bedsheets? We wondered aloud! From inside the cozy bedsheets one will be zeroing in on the DNA spared in bonking sessions which are irrelevant in the matter at hand.

Lastly, we enquire what national security value Polepole has to spark such an uproar? Is flying the anti-vaxxy flag of doom a sufficient reason to attract their wrath, we think not. There are no security issues to waste their valuable time, and Polepole needs to be fully investigated for mudslinging the apparatchik in order to resurrect his selfish political goals which are abseiling into an abyss, but has rattled many for no apparent reason beyond an attempt to resuscitate a vanquished political career whose launchpad was a case of "kubebwa-bebwa".... a passenger without a boarding ticket!

Our Take

Polepole has suddenly realised he has ruffled many a feather with his forlorn attempts to curve a niche for himself as an alternative government within a government. His circuses to brainwash us with cooked data on costs of vaccination have left him with a blackeye, and now instead of interceding for mercy and forgiveness he is angling to save his own face from his mea culpa. Again, he just threw a hot frying pan on his own face. Nothing he does is well thought out and that just sink his political career deeper in the slime. Once considered a rising superstar within CCM youthful ranks, it is very regrettable to see such a well pampered political career hurtling down into self inflicted wounds.

Had Polepole picked a leaf from his former boss who is also languishing in parliament not knowing what to do there but has chosen silence to keep himself out of trouble, he would also have been sailing in a calm sea listening and singing with the halcyon but not our beloved prodigal son who is incited by insurrection. Most upstart careers amount to nothing because they fail to case their position in an organisation. They deceive themselves they can be anything when that dream is shattered instead of accepting the harsh reality they opt to throw tantrums which make their matters even worse than they were before.

Our advice to Mr. Polepole is cease immediately from playing the victim here and accept the fact that your era is truly over and it is the moment of your neighbour to call the shots. For it is written who is greed for personal gain troubles his own house, and right now you are an arsonist to your own goose...

Convicted on three counts of lies, misinformation and defamation.

1) Misinformation about Covid-19 vaccination.
2)False accusations against cabinet ministers that they are cowards for indecision.
3) His defence of demolition of hawkers' kiosks not grounded on facts.

As much as we agree with the decision but the punishment is excessive and harsh

We say so because there must be mercy against the convicts. A punishment without defined time limits is inhumane because it deprives a person with his constitutional rights to engage in meaningful work. Nobody deserves to be punished indefinitely under any circumstances including murder. This is why we are against life imprisonment because it deprives the convicts of access to mercy and forgiveness.

We urge authorities to limit the ban for not more than a year but to keep the ban indefinitely encroaches upon his basic human rights.

Polepole is still defiant alluding to miscarriage of justice because he is a truth shooter which is very sad. There is no truth in raising the price of Covid-19 vaccines, defending machingas for offending the law or questioning the integrity of cabinet ministers on matters of judgment which are very subjective, and not open to objectivity evaluation.

How to Handle Money

The day after Christmas, many of us may feel rather out of pocket. But this issue does not only arise around Christmas time. Most of us have to deal with money in some way every day of our lives. But we prefer not to talk about it in church. However, Jesus talked about money a great deal. The Bible has a lot to say about it. Money matters. It matters to us and it matters to God. How should you handle money?

Proverbs 31:10-20

Prioritise relationships over money

Relationships matter far more than money. For example, all the money in the world cannot compensate for an unhappy marriage. On the other hand, anyone who has a happy marriage ‘lacks nothing of value’ (v.11): ‘A wife of noble character who can find? She is worth far more than rubies. Her husband has full confidence in her and lacks nothing of value’ (vv.10–11).
As the writer of Proverbs extols the virtues of ‘a wife of noble character’, he begins with a number of areas of her life that relate directly or indirectly to finance. She is a great example of someone who has the right attitude to money. As John Wesley said, ‘Earn all you can. Save all you can. Give all you can.’
1. ‘Earn all you can’
She is hardworking and diligent in earning a living: ‘She gets up early and provides food for her family’ (vv.12–15a). She is a good steward. She invests her money wisely. She trades profitably (vv.16–18a).
2. ‘Save all you can’
She enjoys her work and the good things of life (v.13). She saves some of her earnings. She puts money aside (v.16, MSG).
3. ‘Give all you can’
She is generous. ‘She opens her arms to the poor and extends her hands to the needy’ (v.20). Generous giving is the appropriate response to God’s generosity and to the needs of others. It is the way to break materialism.

Lord, help me to be a good steward of everything you entrust to me. May I always be generous, especially to the poor and needy.

Revelation 18:1-17a

Do not put your trust in money

In the Bible, there is no ban on making money, saving it and enjoying the good things of life. What is warned against is selfish accumulation, an unhealthy obsession with money, or putting your trust in riches. This leads to perpetual insecurity and takes you away from God.
Money is not a neutral, impersonal medium of exchange. Jesus said you cannot serve both God and mammon (Matthew 6:24). ‘Mammon’ was the god of wealth in Carthage. Money has all the characteristics of a god. It seems to offer security, freedom, power, influence, status and prestige. It is capable of inspiring devotion and single-minded preoccupation. Yet, as Dietrich Bonhoeffer put it, ‘Our hearts have room only for one all-embracing devotion, and we can only cleave to one Lord.’
In this passage, John is given a vision of an event that must have seemed inconceivable to his readers – the fall of ‘Babylon the Great’ (Revelation 18:2). In the immediate context, this is a prophecy of an event that will not take place for another 320 years – the overthrow of the Roman Empire in AD 410.
When John was writing, the empire seemed invulnerable. It was at the height of its power. It was enjoying peace and security. Yet, John sees that the characteristics of the city were the seeds of its own downfall.
‘Babylon’ here also represents any power that sets itself up apart from God. John highlights a series of fatal weaknesses that lie behind any society’s downfall:
1. Rampant evil
‘She has become a home for demons and a haunt for every evil spirit’ (v.2).
2. Endemic promiscuity
‘All the nations have drunk the maddening wine of her adulteries. The kings of the earth committed adultery with her’ (v.3a).
3. Excessive luxuries
‘The merchants of the earth grew rich from her excessive luxuries’ (v.3b, see also v.7 and v.9). It is probably her great riches that led to arrogance (v.7b).
4. Human trafficking
‘And slaves – their terrible traffic in human lives’ (v.13, MSG). John appears to be pointing out that slaves are not mere carcasses to be bought and sold as property, but are human beings. In this emphatic position at the end of the list (vv.11–13), this is more than just a comment on the slave trade. It is a comment on the whole list of cargoes. It suggests the inhuman brutality, the contempt for human life, on which the whole empire’s prosperity and luxury rested. Today, human trafficking and the resurgence of slavery – with millions of modern-day slaves – points to something desperately wrong with our society.
Riches, splendour and luxury are transient. They come and they go. John warns the people of God not to be contaminated by the sins of Babylon: ‘Come out of her, my people, so that you will not share in her sins’ (v.4). The glories of ancient Rome may have long passed, but this challenge and message are as relevant to us today as they were then.

Lord, keep my heart from arrogance and all the other evils that so often can go with relative wealth. Help us as the church to do all we can to fight against human trafficking and modern-day slavery. Thank you that while great empires come and go, the word of the Lord endures for ever.
