What CDM is asking from CCM is what CCM cannot give....POWER.
So, we conclude this is a 'talking shop' given CDM restitution require CCM to terminate itself from office... free and fair elections remain on CDM laser guided radar but that may lead to CCM ouster. It is as simple as that!
THAT, will never happen in a negotiating table.
Remember "miafaka" businesses?
From Zenj now to TZ proper ...they never resolve issues but repair damaged political careers. Essentially, nothing is of national interest beyond appeasement of personal interests.

At best, CDM can secure some semblance of posts in a power sharing gimmick but pushing CCM out of office is easier said than done...

CCM saw what happened to KANU once Raila and Co pushed it off the cliffhanger...
Kanu is never the same and CCM will try not to fall into the same booby traps ...Once out of the orbit, the CCM stampede to depart from the party of "baba na mama" will make Kanu looks like toy story 5..... without the reins of power and its sceptre to reboot and parlay it as a leverage against rebels, CCM is dead by strangulation...starved of cash and jobs to dole out in exchange for loyalty, it will be game over...
What can CCM guarantee the opposition? Some few victories here and there to portray an aura of fairness as nobody anymore carries the "zero opposition tolerance" spirit of Mwendazake which swallowed more than it could chew.
There is a determination on part of CCM to restore some opposition respectability and relevance at the ballot box without endangering the former ironclad parliamentary majority and since Mbowe and Co will limp back to the house and continue swirling our taxes from where they left off.... for obvious reasons, the presidential stakes are completely out of haggling arenas: Strictly, off limits or in other semantics it is a CCM affair.
There is general agreement that thereafter, CCM cannot be pushed further meaning some of CCM zealots will be the major casualties in this world deluged with ZERO SUM GAMES... since atonement is not a one way highway but a dual carriageway. Stroke my back and will do the same to you too. A corruptible win win scenery of ruses.
So to speak..
Expect in the next general election comes 2025, CCM MP for Hai to lose his seat to placate Mbowe. In a pay to play stance, Mbowe and Co is expected will chill out on constitutional madness...After all, their true wants will be fully taken care of seeing there is no free lunch....you can yourself fill the dashes we have left behind....in fact, we just instructed you to do your homework.
Similar horse trading will be repeated...
However, there are obvious "no go zones" we must humbly caution like Sugu will never unseat Tulia so a presidential appointment of DC calibre should soothe the wounds of a former rapper turned politician still squirming from the 2020 election debacle but of recent has been besotted by Tulia new stature even touting himself as her despicable lice! ......"mimi kuanzia sasa ni chawa wa Tulia..." Lucidly, we have every reason to suspect he didn't surrender his past election acerbic grumblings unless a presidential placebo is out there for him to binge...without watering it down with character... we must sadly note. We know lices cling on our tender bodies to suck our blood so Sugu will stick on Tulia because she can pass or influence a piece of loaf to him. We peek no other reason why Sugu can stoop so low unless a bread is now on the table.
Mbowe and Co will get nothing from their hellbent vendetta to exact revenge from Covid-19 knowing the matter is now subjudice...the judiciary is now a final arbiter and we seriously doubt the matter will ever be determined on merits for reasons we will expound latter....

CCM had no credible rival to power because the opposition mandarins clutches a nadir price tag....remember Professor maji marefu and Dr. Slaa 2015 duet? The old tune is now being replayed and nobody is eager to stop the reggae. It only need someone with guts to remove the stylus from the defective groove of a recording to reclaim the lost harmony but that kind of leadership is scarce at the moment.
Whoever said history repeats itself new what he was talking about...
We must regrettably reminisce.....
