New female condoms boosting sex urge among users - study

A new brand of female condoms that was introduced into the country for a pilot study have been found to increase sex urge among users.

The female condom that was introduced in 2007 to replace the one that was introduced in 2000.

It has been reported by its users to be more user-friendly and increases sex libido “if it is inserted in advance” before having sex.

Unlike the older female condom that was made of latex, the new condom is made of artificial rubber to smoothen sexual intercourse. Vasta Kibirige, the Condom Focal person in the Ministry of Health says.
