New recruitment trend 1 post 1000 shortlisted

It has come to my attention now days thereis new trend in recruitment procedure, especially in the public sector. For exampleyou may find an organization has advertised 1 position but yet they will shortlisteveryone who has minimum qualifications for the interview.

There was similarcomplains from wanajamii at NSSF,UDOM etc. Today I attended interview for SSRA,eishhhh it was chaotic as only 1 post was advertised but shortlisted candidatesare more than 200.

I think this is a bad trend and it signifiesweakness on the part of HR community in the country. If you can't pin pointgood employee by looking at their resume then you in tha wrong field
 
Struggle for the fittest! To me it is a good practice as it provides equal chances for every one to be recruited provided there is no corruption.
 
Mi Sioni Tatizo hapo, umetangaza nafasi ambayo kila mtu ana qualification , utafanyaje katika mazingira haya ya sasa yenye wasomi lukuki?
Unaacha kila mtu akajaribu bahati yake, kama sandakarawe!!! mwenye kupata na apate.
 
Nafikiri muanzisha mada, hajui anachokiongea wala hajui process ya kufanya shortlisting inafanywaje? Ngoja nikueleweshe vizuri;
  1. Kitu cha kwanza tunachofanya kabla hata ya kutangaza hizo kazi ni kutengeneza competency mapping ambayo itakuwa inaguide kwenye first stage selection of the applicants. Sasa wakati mwingine unawaza kukuta ambao wanafit inn kwenye hizo comptency ni 100. What do you do? do you call all of them for the oral interview?
  2. That is why many organisations nowdays they conduct APT test, TPT test etc - the aims of these is to get to know more about hao candidates and identfy the best in terms of their thinking ability, ability to solve problems and think out of the box.
Nikupe mfano mdogo tu, kuna kazi sisi tulitangaza majuzi. Mpaka leo tuna applications 650, na deadline haijafika bado. ili kutoa equal opprtunity for all ambao wanafiti kwenye initial competency guideline ni lazima tuite kama mia hivi kwenye aptitude.

nyie wenyewe ndio huwa mnalalamika kwanini mimi sijaitwa, mbona yule ameitwa na qualifications zetu ni sawa.
 

Mkuu ni ofisi gan hyo? Inawezekana application yangu ipo hapo,lol! Naomba kuuliza hivi ikitokea nafas ya kaz imetangazwa wanahitaj watu 10 mfano na application ziko 7 watawachukua hao watu wote au wanafanyaje? Na inakuaje nafas ya kazi inakuwa re advertised? Ina mana hakuna mwenye vigezo aliyeomba?
 

Hawawezi kuchukuliwa wote, watachukuliwa wale tu wanaofit kwenye qualification/experience/competency zinzotakiwa hata kama ni mmoja tu. na ndio hapo kazi inapokuwa readvertised, maana yake hawakupata wanawataka and thus wanatangaza tena.
 
Wana JF hata kama qualifications ndiyo ina matter lakini kama shortlist ni watu 200 kwa nafasi 1 that is too much! in deed it is a chaotic situation! nilitegemea kusikia labda hata watu 10 waajiri please let us be realistic please!!
 

Wata chukua wanaofit, then wata readvertise.

bwana ee!!! kuhudhuria interviews nayo ni shule..unafaidika kwa sana tu..kwani unapata exprience ya kutosha..baada ya kufanya interview nyingi then one day utapata tu

A thousands,individuals? Time management,costs and fatigue to panel/recruiment committee

Kwani simple random sampling inakubalika ili kuweza kupata labda watu hata 20 wa kugombea nafasi 1 kutoka watu 200
 
Fahamu kwamba watu wa HR huwa wanapata allowance kusimamia interview ni moja ya kuonesha wamefanya kazi, Nssf nafikiri ndio walioanzisha huo mchezo mchafu wa kuita watu 800 nafasi Kumi. Inapoteza muda na rasilimali. Mara nyingi tayari kunakuwa na wahusika wanajulikana mfano hizi nafasi za HESLB tayari watu wana wadogo zao, mashemeji kwa hiyo kuomba ni bahati nasibu kupata pale kwani mwenye kisu ndio mla nyama siku zote. Dawa ni kujiajiri tuu.
