Do you know the meaning of the word 'less'? E.g. in the sentences
I received less payment last month.

I received lesser payment than you last month. I received the least in payment last month.

Can you tell the difference?
I think less is an adjective that depicts a reduction in size, rank, extent and or degree.

"I received less payment last month" explains the smallness of the payment you received.

"I received lesser payment than you last month" describes the smallness of your payment as compared to another person. In this case a comparison is made between two entities - persons.

"I received the least payment last month" shows how small your payment was as compared to more than two entities or persons to be specific.

So it is all about adjectives, comparative adjectives and superlative adjectives.

are you interested in what
What are you interested in?

In normal sentences we use this format:
Noun/Pronoun + helping verb + verb

For example:
• Financial services is interested in speaking English.

In cases where we ask questions (interrogative form) we use the following format:
Helping verb + Noun/Pronoun + verb

For example:
• Is Financial services interested in speaking English?

Has improved or is improved ?!!
01: "I hope your English has improved" is completely a present perfect tense, and would mean the act of improvement has taken place a short while ago.

02: "I hope your English is improved" would literally mean the act of improvement took place a long time ago and is still in the same status of improvement. "improved" in this this situation is close to an adverb than merely a participle.

The pen had lost.
You gave me that pen.

The pen which you gave me had lost.
In the sentence "the pen had lost" the doer of the verb lose is the pen.

However, "the pen" is never a doer in both sentences: "The pen is lost. You gave me that pen."

So the correct sentence should be "the pen which you gave me is lost" as a former speaker proposed.
